Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Henry wished that he was better at expressing himself, that he felt more confident in telling Sterling how he really felt. He wanted to tell the man how much he loved him, how much he appreciated the fact that he never left him despite everything. But how could he ever voice such an opinion when he felt so unworthy of Sterling's love? How could Sterling possibly love him? He was a washed up drug addict and sex fiend. Not to mention he could now add crazy beast and adulterer on his resume. It just wasn't something he thought made him worthy of his love. He should run from him and yet...he was still here.

As Sterling put the lamb in the oven and stated that it would be ready in 10 minutes, Henry smiled back at him. "Movie is ready. I thought we could eat first." He had a look of mischief on his face as he moved to stand next to Sterling, reaching out to halt the man from grabbing the plates. "I should ask what you want to drink." He released his hold on Sterling and with his smile, he turned away from the man and walked down the hall.

He went towards the hall closet, a place where he had stuffed some of his thinks when he was still living with Sterling. It held very few personal items, but it was where he would hide all of Sterling's Christmas presents. The man never seemed to use this closet so when he moved in, he took over it. It took him a moment to hide a single package that he had mailed to him. Pulling it out, he closed the closet door. And as he made his way back to the kitchen, he tore open the package, pulling out a beautiful table cloth and throwing away the wrapping.

If he had been a woman, he would have ironed the table cloth. But he was not and so the table cloth still held the creases from shipping. Clearing the small table in the dining room, he laid out the table cloth and smoothed it out as best he could. Then, he set the table with plates, silverware, and a couple of beers unless Sterling wanted something different. And then, to finish it off, he placed two candles made out of mason jars in the center of the table. It wasn't a fancy setting, but the thought was there. Pulling out a lighter, he lit the candles and smiled.

The setting was beautiful and once Henry had ensured that it was perfect, he turned to look at Sterling. "Dinner should be ready by now." He was trying to do something sweet for his boyfriend, to try and set the mood so hopefully his gift for Sterling would be received well. Moving up to the man, he looped his fingers though Sterling's belt loops and pulled him closer before he could grab the lamb from the oven. Once his body was in close proximity to his own, Henry closed the rest of the distance and pressed his lips to his own. "Happy day we met again anniversary." This marked another year since he had met Sterling twice â€" a day he could not have been more grateful for. While they had their share of difficulties, it was so worth it in the end...at least to Henry.
