Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
The little panda wiggled with splaying limbs as she was hefted so unceremoniously into the air against her will. The squeak on her lips was all but ignored as she was hugged far tighter then her little lungs could handle, resulting in little more than a wheezing puff of air from the poor panda's lips. She could hardly help the way she drooped visibly in the aftermath, like a wilted flower as the child turned to bring her back to that terrible home Abigail had escaped from all those months ago, only to halt in mid-step. The last thing Abigail had anticipated was for the young woman to turn, only to lift her up to those strawberries that the little panda had been so futilely and so frantically trying to reach. A squeal of delight left the panda's lips as she leaned forward, biting into one juicy strawberry to pluck it from the vines. It had tooooottttallllllyyy been worth it! That juiciness! The redness! So sweet! So tasty! She was far too taken with nibbling on the strawberry in her mouth to notice the several more of the fruit that Anna-Marie had plucked off and placed within her pocket. Her large hazel eyes only turned upwards at the very idea of more berries. That is, until the little vampire mentioned baths. Frankly, she was beginning to see why pets hated that word now. B-a-t-h. It made her want to tuck her tail and run too!

Her little ears flicked backwards as if attempting to look far cuter and saddened then she really was at the idea of this bathtime. Really, it was like the girl was trying to drown her and then she was just so....handsy! It was just....soooo not right! Thankfully, Anna-Marie hardly seemed to dwell on it long as she led the way back towards her own home, leaving Abigail with little avenue to escape, much to the girl's horror. She watched with wide eyes as Anna strolled up the pathway to her home, plucking a key from the rock nearby to let them in, only to close and lock it behind her. As if a mere lock would stop her! She just...had to wait...till daytime. God, it was going to be like the longest night ever. Frankly, she still abhorred this idea of a collar, the last one had been painful enough to remove, the ribbon constricting and loosening around her neck when she had shifted back to her mortal form. The thought of another was near just as awful to consider, even if she hadn't the slightest idea of what thought so toyed with Anna-Marie's mind. A chirp of protest left her lips, though it was all but ignore as the child-vampire wandered through the hallways that led towards a particularly large office.

Her own hazel eyes glanced around the office inquisitively as Anna-Marie led them towards a glass display case in the corner. Her gaze widened near immediately at the very sight of all that rested within. They were soooooo spparrrkkllyyy! The light was like...GLISTENING off of those fancy gemstones! It was like...a light show! A soft gasp left her lips as Anna-Marie reached up to pluck one piece of jewelry from the plethora, only to place Abigail quickly on the ground in the aftermath. The item place around her neck was....tighter than the red panda would have liked and yet, the very presence of it made her freeze in place, her little limbs almost rigid as if she was afraid that moving might break it. It had to be worth like...a gagillion dollars! It was the fanciest thing she had ever ever EVER seen and SHE had been to the King of Italy's WEDDING. She'd thought staying in the palace was the fanciest thing ever but...THIS?!?! WHAT DID SHE DO WITH THIS?! SHE COULDN'T GO OUT IN THIS! SHE COULDN'T SHIFT IN THIS! WHAT IF SHE BROKE IT?! That panic had already begun to set in as Abigail tried to consider how to like...put it...back. At least - until she was offered a strawberry.

Strawberries, it seemed, were the cure-all to all of her concerns. Tentatively, the little panda reached out, almost afraid to even get the juices of her favorite fruit on the sparkly necklace that was so securely fastened around her. Her first step was tentative, the little panda's usual bounding somehow subdued to a rather uncertain shuffle waddle...thing. What if she just like...moved too much and the necklace broke and there were diamonds everywhere?! Could diamonds fall out?! They did that on television shows! Or was that pearls? Maybe that was pearls. Not that she wanted to risk it either which way! Eventually, the slow snail like panda made her way towards the kitchen, only for the girl to be lifted onto the counter. Thank GOD. Heaven forbid she JUMP and break this thing. The panda flopped almost exhastedly on the countertop, this worrying thing almost too much for the poor panda's heart! She watched with vague inquisitiveness as Anna-Marie dragged a plastic container of cupcakes towards her. Her nose twitched with the sudden saturating scent of sweetness as the lid was opened, only for that cupcake to find its way right in front of her. What....was this....this?

Why was it so sweet? The little girl ate these? Gingerly her nose poked it, only to withdraw at the quick her nose, only to find a small piece of frosting stuck to the edge of her snout. She tried to lick it - her head moving this way and that as her little tongue reached out in some vain effort to get it. The small panda paused, her hazel eyes almost lighting up at the notion of playgrounds...well...that was until she was once again reminded about that super duper uber expensive THING around her neck. WHAT IF THE SLIDE BROKE IT?! Ahhhhhhhh, where was Arlo when she needed him most?!
