Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The faerie queen had no idea what kind of man that Frost was, no, she had no way to know that. He had presented himself as Nadya's friend, and Nadya was her best friend... so of course she would trust someone that she apparently trusted. So the woman had no nervousness when it came down to him, just the stupid naivety that she was so prone to. That she had fallen into his tricks she was remarkably unaware, instead believing every motion he made, the woman believing that he had the best intentions for her. It was hard not to feel that way. After all, she couldn't feel his emotions, couldn't feel that he was anything but genuine, the faerie girl just forced to believe him at face value. The faerie queen had no way of knowing how easily she was being manipulated. And oh, how dangerous her trust would prove to be.

The way that he knelt beside her felt real, the girl feeling enough trust in his sympathy to allow her story to pour from her lips, the girl seeming to curl even further into herself as she told her story. It was a hard one to tell, the memories ones that the girl desperately tried to forget even though they claimed themselves in her nightmares. More often than not â€" usually nights when she was alone rather than curled up against Aiden â€" she would wake up in a sweat from the flashbacks of their tortures and attacks. She was remarkably unaware of the effect she was having on the man beside her, her mind unknowingly giving him the images she described as though it was a movie meant for him to watch.

It was only when he turned, her name on his lips did the girl look up, wincing as he turned away from her as though he was repulsed by it all. Great. The one person that had showed her kindness in hearing her story was one that she had drove off for it. "Frost I'm so..." She started, trailing off when he began to speak, offering her sympathy in it. The girl merely dropped her head, unable to look at him â€" lest the tears that welled in her eyes spill down her cheeks. "Um, no. If you want to make a human into a faerie, that's how it's done. You have to be kidnapped... for a week... before they kill you. Um. But you can also be born a faerie. That's how most are made. The ones that are... turned... are looked down upon, mostly. That's why the girls at the burlesque don't like me."

His reassurance that they were here for her caused the girl to drop her head into her hands, the sob that had built up in her chest overwhelming her then, the girl seeming to be completely broken by the knowledge that her tormenters were near. The girl curled even more into herself, ignoring the fact that the man was beside her. No, now she was incapable of caring about the man that sat beside her, the despair tugging at her in more ways than one.

"I won't let them hurt Dorian or Ivy. No, that's not fair. They didn't do anything. Ivy... Ivy already went through this... and Dorian... he was born this way but he..." She shook her head, looking up at the man before she reached out to clutch at his sleeve. "You have to be careful, Frost. If they think you're helping me... they're so dangerous... I couldn't bear it if you were harmed as well. Frost, do promise you'll be careful."
