South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Miya could practically taste the freedom of graduating school. She had spent the last week of her life huddled in a coffee shop with the rest of the students from the university. The small woman had been pouring over notes and books until her eyes were practically bleeding. Since finding out that Arlo was a vampire she had thrown herself into her studies, attempting to forget that there was something more out there. She couldn't quite erase it from her mind and the more she attempted to forget it, the more it haunted the back of her mind. Honestly, she was thankful she was still passing her classes even with this new... revelation. Sighing, she slips her messenger bag over her shoulder and begins to filter out of the lecture hall her head down as she follows the crowd until they are exiting the building. The cool air nips at her bare skin as she buries her nose farther into her scarf, chocolate eyes scanning the sea of faces. Realizing she was looking for anything out of the ordinary, she immediately stops looking for those supernatural creatures Arlo had mentioned and quickens her pace as if she could outrun those thoughts that so constantly plagued her.

The sound of her name being called in the crowd has her abruptly halting, as someone runs into her back. Turning around, she apologizes and the woman continues onward with a heavy glare thrown her way. Miya doesn't have time to respond before a familiar brown head bobs quickly through the crowd towards her. It takes a second to recognize her and as the girl grows closer, a small smile breaks across her face. "Malia!" She exclaims delighted, "What are you doing her? It's been such a long time!" She comments, reaching a hand up to grip the strap on her messenger bag. Allowing her eyes to take the girl in, she notes that the woman is better dressed than the last time she had met her and seemed to be better fed too. With no small amount of joy, she realizes the girl was also wearing the leather jacket she had forked over for all those months ago. "You look good," she compliments her that smile still toying at her lips.

Entirely focused on the woman in front of her, she doesn't notice the crowd of boys closing in around them. "Are you doing well at home? Is Henry treating you better?" She questions her rapid fire, the name clanging through her once more remembering how Sterling had mentioned a Henry who was entirely absent from his bedside in the hospital. Her brows furrow at the memory and before she can interrogate her further, as she had every intention of figuring out who this Henry was, deep tenors from behind her draw her out of her thoughts. Flinching, she turns around glancing at the much larger man now standing in front of her, "Hey, babe. Your friend over here mentioned you two wanted to go for a drink at the bar," he laughs a bit darkly, his friends joining in. Blinking in confusion, she looks towards Malia; she didn't think that the girl would invite a bunch of strangers to the bar. Though, Miya is entirely unaware of the conflict that was held only moments before Malia came skipping over.

"Um, I think we will pass. We have places to be," Miya responds a touch quietly before linking arms with Malia and dragging her away from the men. She ignores the jeers and the stares as the women retreat, unaware that they would trail after them. "Malia, what was that all about?" She asks, her chocolate eyes concerned as she looks at the brunette.
