South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Kato was largely distracted by his nephews and the familiar clamoring that he wasn't paying attention to the other children. His travels had made him grow used to the ever changing features of the people he came across that his mind didn't even register that the children, whom had never left the herd, would be so curious about the pale white woman he had brought back. Once he introduced Edie to his nephews though she directed his attention to the whispering children. He gruffed at them with a wave of his hand, his own words matching their native tongue to scold them for their behavior. The whispering children dispersed with a giggle though to flee back towards the clutter of huts they called home leaving Kato's nephews the only ones left behind.

"It's ok." Kato reassured Edie, taking Edie's hand once more, "They're just curious. They've never seen a woman from England before." He smirked and winked at her before turning his attention back to the small boys. "Where's Rrago?" Mosi pointed back at the huts, "Rre is with Mme in the square." Mosi crouched down and plucked little Ekene up onto his back as he turned with the middle Amare to lead Kato and Edie to the village. Kato gave Edie's hand a small squeeze, reiterating a whisper of, "It's ok." He picked their bag back up and followed his nephews' trail.

The greeting that the couple received earlier paled in comparison to what they got once reaching the huts. The previous children had gone running through the paths shouting about the return of one of the herdmates which drew people from their work and inside their huts to come see. There were nearly 40 bodies in all which included children, gathered to the edges of the square by the time Kato and Edie reached it. Kato was of course undaunted seeing as they were all familiar faces. Another smile crossed his features though when a finely built black man pressed forward from behind the gathering, "Nnake!" He exclaimed, reaching out his arms and embracing Kato with strong claps to the back. When he pulled back he held firmly to Kato's upper arms, looking him over before the same foreign tongue left his lips. "Nkgonne," Kato chuckled, "English please..." He brought up his free hand to motion to Edie. "Edie, this is my brother, Raziya." Raziya shifted his attention to Edie, giving her a once over with a softened expression. "Edie...welcome. I'm sorry for all this; we haven't seen my little brother in two years. We are just glad he's found his way back home. It's a pleasure to meet you." His accent was heavy but his smile genuine as he took Edie's hand and pecked a gentlemanly kiss to her knuckles before stepping back with a hearty laugh once more.

"I'm sure you two are hungry. Come, come, we were just making some chapatti." Raziya motioned for Kato and Edie to follow him to the other side of the small square where an awning was covering the cooking pit. Kato released Edie's hand so she could sit on the tree trunks that had been propped for a bench and hand her some of the flatbread wrapped with bean spread in it. Kato seated himself beside Edie and began inhaling his portion. The rest of the village began filtering by getting their portions, brushing a hand over Kato's shoulder as they muttered in their native tongue when they passed him to take a seat around them. Kato didn't seem phased by this in the least, though he did glance up at a few to offer a smile before looking back at Edie with whispered apology. "They don't catch much meat but I'll find you some during morning forage tomorrow."
