East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

LET THE DARKNESS TAKE YOU

When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you.

The park is empty save for the pair of them though traces of blood and pain linger on the air. The moment his pale blue eyes meet the light recognition dawns across the girls innocent face. She had been too involved in her bloodlust to remember the viking by scent alone. Now, however, the diminutive girl takes a moment and allows the scent of his blood to linger on her tongue and float across the Jacobson's organ and commit both his scent and face to memory. Mmmm. His scent is intoxicating to the tigress. Strong and potent. Predatory and virile. Yummy.

The low grumble of his growl carries across the distance and travels from the sole's of her feet into her chest. She offers a broken chuff in acknowledgement and greeting. It was the best he could ask for of a mute and she had no intention of invading his mind space until he offered. Regan knew all too well the sanctity of ones mind and respect the right to his. In this time Regan has drifted ever closer and watches in fascination as his brow furrows and he tears his eyes from her face. Bereft she seeks out his gaze once more and allows a small simper to curl the corner of her lips at the expression currently occupying his face. He looks adorable all pouty and frustrated. Regan understands not many people would agree with her, but then, they were not lethal predators.

The last time she had laid eyes on the hulking viking he had been laying at her feet in the arena. Seems his luck had not been holding up in the time he had been away judging by the blood clotting in his beard. Reaching out Regan strokes a fingertip through the semi-dried substance before lifting it to her lips and licking the congealed substance from her fingertip. A low hum vibrating in her chest to express her enjoyment. He truly was delicious. His hand reaches out and without a second of thought Regan darts from his grasp and growls brokenly. It takes a moment for his words to register and the look in his eyes to infiltrate the red haze lingering in her mind. When you grow up being beaten your whole life, you learn to react quickly and to not enjoy being touched. Regan was no exception to this rule.

A long moment passes before Regan slowly moves back into his circle of reach and another long moment before she steps closer and into his grasp. Her amethyst eyes raising to his in a silent question before gently reaching out to lay her small hand against the side of his cheek. Will wonders never cease?
