East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy

It was in a moment such as this that Samantha was overwhelmed by how little she knew about what it was like to be fae, or supernatural at all. She supposed that she should have been able to handle whatever it was that was attacking her. After all, she was supposed to be able to fly away from dangerous situations - though she'd never actually attempted that. There seemed to be no instinct within her that told her what it was she needed to do in a situation like this. She wanted to bolt, but the pain kept her on her knees. It was a stupid position to keep herself in, she'd realized early on, though admittedly she couldn't bring herself to her feet. She was aware of exactly how vulnerable she'd left herself.

Another arrow whizzed past her, grazing her arm, just as the shadowy figure leapt in front of her. Her first reaction was to scream, to throw her arms up in an attempt to protect herself. But it was in this motion that she noticed the black paws, the lean figure of the panther that she'd met only once. "Aiden," She breathed, realizing that the terrifying figure in front of her was not there to hurt her, but instead there to protect her. Amazingly, she resisted the urge to throw her arms around the feline.

Nadya's brother hadn't really done the girl any favors - other than the drop off at the burlesque club - so she certainly had no reason to trust him. But there, underneath the paralyzing fear that whatever was trying to hurt her was causing her, was the feeling that whatever Aiden was here for, it wasn't to harm her. There was that feeling of anger in him, but also protectiveness. She raised her arm - though it sent a pain that nearly sent her to the pavement - pointing forward. "I don't know what it is," She said quietly. "But it's coming from over there."
