East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy

"I'm so sorry," Samantha huffed slightly as it occurred to her precisely how much she'd brought down the mood in the car. She could feel the apprehension he'd felt after asking the question, and merely shook her head. "I'm officially done being a downer tonight." She flashed him a bright smile, determined to actually be a more pleasant companion to him for the evening. She merely played with her hair as their comfortable silence settled over them, and out of the corner of her eye. She couldn't help but watch him. He truly was gorgeous, and Samantha had hardly stopped thinking about him since she'd first seen him in his human form. She'd hardly noticed that they'd parked until he'd gotten out of the car, and then she scrambled to get out lest he catch her gawking at him.

She trotted over to him, nearly wrapping her arm around his as they walked. She supposed that she would have, had he not pointed towards one of the tables outside the café. "Sure," She said pleasantly, brushing her fingers across his arm as she passed him. "Coffee please?" She asked, immediately reaching for her purse to pull out some cash for him. By the time she'd looked back to hand it over to him, he'd disappeared into the café. She'd hand it to him when he came back out, she presumed. She shook her head, heading over to one of the many unoccupied tables.

It seemed that, given that it was the first pleasant day they'd had in quite some time, no one really wanted to sit. Samantha herself would have preferred to walk around, but she wasn't opposed to sitting around drinking coffee with her very attractive friend. She picked the table nearest the sidewalk, smiling as she noticed the bright red vase of roses sitting on the middle of the table. For a moment, she questioned it, but then couldn't help but be reminded that it was nearly Valentine's Day. She'd always loved Valentine's Day, often getting caught up in the romance of it all when she'd still be human. She smiled to herself, playing absently with the silky petals on the flower as she waited for her companion to return.
