What You'll Find Here

Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

DORIAN, you're here where you should be

you were the answer to my dreams

With his birthday and resurrection come and gone, there was little that Sebastian had to dread with the remaining of the month before him. Quite on the contrary, the vampire's household had been little more than a whirlwind of activity. With gifts to purchase, Dorian's new wardrobe to see too, and their impending trip, Sebastian had been all too content to throw himself entirely in every facet of the upcoming holiday and in the end, that fateful evening was left with little more than joyous excitement for all members of his household if only for the simple promise of going home. There was a notable excitement within the vampire that evening, when Dorian finally did arrive to the front door of his estate and yet, that joy at returning to his home country quickly diminished when they finally stepped foot on that plane hours later. For all his traveling abroad, the vampire disliked long trips such as this with passion. It was that reason alone that saw him so particularly willing to shell out whatever was necessary to ensure their seats were first class and, indeed, off from the rest of the plane at large, due entirely to his own sensitivity to the sun. That hardly stopped him in the least, however, in his efforts to reassure his lover should any anxieties arise of the flight itself, much less stop him from answering the barrage of questions in regards to a flying room and yet, even Sebastian had to admit that nearly ten hours later, he was entirely happy when the plane finally touched the ground of that runway in Heathrow.

For all the planning and for all the careful timing, however, this was one aspect of the flight that Sebastian was stuck simply enduring. With the time change and the flight's time in itself, they had landed in London in midafternoon. The vampire was well aware of the presence of the sun as it beat down on the plane, even if the heat itself hardly touched him. The simple knowledge alone made him entirely anxious and utterly exhausted, even if he did his best to appear otherwise. They were led from the plane by a flight attendant who took them into a windowless corridor with several others of his species. There were several Dark Hunter's present, entirely prepared to ensure the safety of the rest of the airport should any of his kind suddenly become peckish. Thankfully, dealing with the paperwork and passports of their arrival was a relatively painless matter and at least two hours after they had landed, their luggage was collected and the four were nestled within a rental car with the heater on to chase away any of the cold that threatened to seap in. The windows in the back of the vehicle were entirely tinted, keeping that sunlight from touching his skin and it was only here, with the vehicle sliding down familiar streets, that Sebastian finally found himself relaxing once again.

The vampire leaned into his companion, entirely ignoring the thick jacket he'd nearly forced upon his lover once they'd left the plane if only for the simple memory of how bitterly cold British winters could so be. His dark blue eyes glanced upwards at Dorian, the smallest of simper's crossed his features, "Welcome to London." He uttered softly, his voice entirely laced with a certain sort of tiredness that was due entirely to the present hour. He shouldn't be awake right now. Hell, he shouldn't have been awake for several hours now and yet, Sebastian found himself continuing to fight that sleep, no, that death, that so clutched at him. "We should be in Belton in a few hours." The Englishman continued, his gaze momentarily shifting towards those darkened windows. "Hopefully by then the sun will have set." It was a hesitantly spoken wish, one that, in truth, Sebastian felt particularly mixed feelings of. On one hand, the darkness of night was the only way in which he could live and yet, even he had to admit a sort of sadness in restricting Dorian to seeing the home he'd grown up in only by the dull light of the moon. His memories of this place were glorious - then again, it had been quite some time ago.

Regardless, the car made it's way with ease down the winding twists and turns of the motorway, quickly leaving behind the skyrises and cramped alleyways of London for open air, quaint cottages, and sleepy towns. The vampire himself remained entirely content to stay nestled against his lover within the back seat of the vehicle, his indigo gaze fluttering closed every now and again, resembling more a tired child fighting off the inevitable then the refined centuries old being he was. It was nearly two hours later that the small window that separated the driver's cabin from Sebastian and Dorian themselves, Elizabeth's head poked through moment's later, a clear grin upon her features. "Wake up, sleepy head!" She exclaimed, "We just hit Grantham!" It was those four simple words that prompted movement within the vampire, the man sitting up only to stretch ever so slightly. That protective layer of blackness that coated the windows slowly disappeared with a push of a button, providing the pair with a view of the city they had only just began to drive through.

Christmas lights lined the those snowy streets, drifting over the streets above them to create patterns of snowflakes and candy canes. Wreaths lined the doors of businesses whilst the guild's hall at the center of town was lit up in colors of red and white. There was a definite feel of Christmas within the air, one that caused a grin to settle once again on his features as he glanced towards his companion. The vehicle slowly turned off the main road, drifting a bit towards the countryside before turning again towards those manicured lawns buried under the light dusting of snow. A large wall stood before them, lined with snow covered hedges. The driveway led towards the singular arch to admit them entrance, the vehicle carefully sliding around the usual family entrance to the front of the looming four story estate. The windows were lit with a warm glow and on the top of that staircase, a small collection of people stood - his ever loyal family of servants.

As soon as the car halted and the keys left the ignition, Elizabeth's door flew open, the girl practically bounding up the stairs to embrace her family. Charles paused at their door side just long enough to open it for them before he too fell to those nostalgic desires to be welcomed home and yet, Sebastian himself hardly found fault in such a thing. Rather, he reached out to Dorian, entirely content to guide him from the depths of that car whilst he stood at the bottom of those stairs, simply waiting. It hardly took more than a passing minute before the family settled, their reuniting complete and with a smile to his face, and older looking version of Charles stepped down from those steps pulling the vampire into a momentary embrace. "Sebastian, welcome home. We've missed you....is this him?" The vampire nodded, a singular glance given towards his companion. "Welcome to Belton House, your majesty." The man offered, providing the King the slightest of bows, and slowly, the rest of the family followed suite.
