Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told

"Play it again, please."

That request was entirely gentle, Dorian's silvered gaze so lingering upon his lover then as he waited for the vampires fingers to return to the keys of that piano he sat before. The Monarch's own figure leant against that exquisite instrument, his elbows propped upon the top as he head rested within his hands in that near picture of relaxation. His attempts to so get himself dressed for the morning had all but failed in the wake of Sebastian's playing. Dorian having managed little more then securing his pants in place. His feet remained decidedly bare and yet that thick, plush carpet of the hotel suite was nothing short of divine beneath his feet all the same. Dorian in no true rush to seek out his socks or shoes from wherever in the room they had ended up. His hair remained equally as mused from last night's activities while his figure retained its shirtless status as he continued to lean against that piano. The Fae King had taken several days to become used to that idea of relaxation in every sense of the word. It had been difficult to put aside his phone and ipad and every other device that so connected him to work. Dorian prone to fretting over the current state of his country's political status and yet, each day that passed without some impending Italian disaster saw the Monarch only further embrace that holiday. Dorian, for the past several days, having come to utterly adore those late starts. How he enjoyed lounging in bed quite until they desired to get up and breakfast so being delivered whenever they might desire it. How he relished that glorious giant bath with its heated water, that library of books within their suite and to, the country they had found themselves within for that first leg of their extensive honeymoon.

The polar nights that so eclipsed Stockholm and Sweden at large were nothing short of baffling to the man. The idea that the sun would rise for no more than an hour or so each 'day' was a phenomenon that pulled terribly at his curiosity. How utterly in awe of such a thing he was! Sebastian's attempts to explain that phenomenon only resulting in more questions until the staff of the hotel had so fetched for him several books on the matter. Sebastian having ever-patiently translated that Swedish for him until his curiosity had been satisfied. Those near never-ending nights affording his lover an energy quite unlike anything Dorian had ever seen. Those waking hours they might share no longer limited by the rise of the sun in any real sense and indeed, how very much they had made of it! Stockholm had proven to be a fascinating city in every sense of the word, even despite those chilling temperatures that Sebastian seemed content to combat by dressing him in several layers any time they went outside. Dorian determined to see near as much of that city as he could and too- those mountains beyond. Near all of yesterday so having been spent at the Nacka Nature Reserve and its natural sauna and hot springs on the banks of Lake Källtorp. Sebastian having required considerable coaxing to leave that place at all and yet Dorian was near assured he would never forget those mountains in turn. His features so seeming to wear a near permanent grin.

Today, however, was a far slower day after the simple excitement of the day before. Neither of them in any real rush to make that singular appointment they so had for that day, that Easter church service not due to start until ten and as such the Monarch was content to continue to rest against that piano as Sebastian begun that piece all over again. His silver gaze drifted from his lover only to peer inside that instrument itself and watch those pieces move and shift, that warm simper tugging at his lips in simple delight before his attention returned to Sebastian's fingers as they moved so deftly. He would always be in awe of such playing, of that he was wholly assured. Those musical notes so readily seeming to fit that glorious suite and that softly falling snow outside. How perfect it was! Dorian merely content to listen to that piece all the way through before shifting just enough from his position to allow his lips to find his husbands own in that stolen kiss.

"That one I like."

He uttered softly, his lips pulled gently away to press another teasing kiss to the vampires cheek. Dorian at least leaning away from that piano to wander easily around behind Sebastian then, his chin resting near playfully atop the vampires head as he so allowed his arms to drape with affection about his neck. The Fae wholly reluctant to detangle himself from his lover to finish dressing, even if it was surely required off them if they were to make that service at all. Yet, that near impish grin so found his lips all the same.

"After Church this morning, when we return here, I shall need you to stay downstairs for a half hour or so and you cannot at all ask me why."

That warm chuckle readily found his lips then, Dorian so hardly needing to see his husbands face to know of that look the man surely wore. Sebastian as prone to such curiosities as himself whenever Dorian so sought to tease him with an idea of any sort or indeed, so strove to surprise him as he intended for this morning after that religious observance, so important to them both, had been carried out. To craft such surprises within a country in which he struggled to speak the language had been no simple task in any sense and yet, the Monarch was assured he would succeed in this. Easter, after all, would not be easter unless all those traditions were carried out. Dorian shifted so at last away from his husband then to wander back across that room and towards that near giant wardrobe. A sensible white shirt was at last plucked from its depths to be easily slid into place before Dorian reached for a bright blue tie, one far less conservative in its brightness then any other tie he owned. The man turning readily towards the vampire then as he held it out.

"Bastian? Do you think this is to....jazzy for church? I should not like to be too...bright but Easter is a celebration and I should not like to be to conservative either. I quite packed this tie because it seemed rather festive and you said we were to attend a party in Barcelona when we got there. This is the most exciting tie I own."
