South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

She didn't like to be touched. It was a fact they discovered of the young witch they had captured quite quickly as they hauled her from her bed. She'd screamed, and kicked....hard. And yet, in the end, it hardly mattered of the fight she'd put up against those strong hands that pulled her clawing from those sheets before that cloth was pressed against her mouth and nose. She knew the substance near immediately, the herbalist that she was and yet, her efforts to simply hold her breath were thwarted quite easily with mere time. Eventually, that need for air, for survival, won out and, as much as she abhorred it, Serafina found herself floating in oblivion. They tossed her feminine figure with blatant disregard in the back of that black van, that tightly clinging nightgown certainly drew several wandering eyes as she was dragged from the comfort of that townhome and towards that Western ward she so often conducted her less than savory business. It was nearly an hour later that she finally found some resemblance of consciousness, though it came with a certain sluggishness the woman particularly disliked. Her head rolled to the side, her eyebrows furrowed as a soft sound left her lips. It took her a bit longer to realize her hands had been tied tightly behind her back, even as she struggled briefly against that material that so bound her.

Sluggishly, she blinked away that haze, her efforts only furthered by the sound of laughter that reverberated around her. Those stormy eyes narrowed at the sight of that group of men before her, much less the simple recognition of that ring leader. "Well, look what we have here." She uttered, that snarkiness all the more present in spite of her currently compromising position. He scowled at her and yet, the woman only met his gaze with a rather level one all her own. "You owe me an amulet, Serafina". He sneered as he leaned closer towards her, his breath warm against her skin as he grabbed her chin. "I gave you one, just because it didn't do what you expected doesn't mean I didn't deliver." The young woman spat back, clearly undaunted. She could see the anger in his eyes as he drew away from her, turning back towards the men that stood behind him. She hardly saw him turn on her, the man that quick upon his feet, the back of his hand slammed into her cheek, the sound of flesh on flesh reverberated in the metal space and yet, the girl did little but hiss at the pain upon her fair feminine features. Her stormy eyed turned upwards towards him with a glimpse of defiance traced with a rare and yet, none the less threatening rage. "Don't you dare touch me again." She hissed, even if the man did little but laugh at her. "I'll touch you wherever I damn well please." He uttered with a wicked simper upon his features.

His hand landed upon her bare thigh, the simple gesture caused her gaze to narrow. She knew well what he had intended with that gesture, much less with the way his fingers traced upwards and yet, it was particularly ill received as she glanced at him between those long ebony locks. "I thought I told you not to touch me." She hissed, her anger so calling to those affinities she held so dearly. That ice was the only one to answer, a large sharpened stalagmite like creature bursted forth from the ground beside him, another following him as he so stumbled back from her. Those needles of ice she called to life were nearly the size of those men, and yet, for once, Serafina hardly bothered to attempt some measure of control. Rather, she took the distraction for what it was, raising from that chair to stumble through that massive warehouse, the girl moving down those lanes of boxes and shipping supplies with those icicles so following in her wake. She knew she needed to find a way out, though truly, she had little sense of direction in that near labyrinth of towering palettes.

She could hear their voices as they called after her, that group of men clearly spreading out to cover far greater ground then one could alone. A soft huff left her lips as she turned at the next row, and then the next, and the next. Unfortunately, though her efforts to escape largely succeeded in getting her away from the fellow that so loudly called the shots within that warehouse, she had little way of knowing her every step was being stalked. At least, not until his form near collided into her petite frame. Serafina hit the ground with a solid thud with no way to stop her fall. She was dazed for several good moments, long enough for him to so quickly shift positions upon her lithe frame, her feet bound together with that same tight roughness, leaving the girl struggling for some means to escape from him. "Hey! Get off of m--" She never finished those words before that piece of cloth was shoved between her lips, the man's hands repositioning with the clear intention of lifting her. Her words were wholly muffled by that cloth in her mouth and yet, her intention was perhaps just as clear as she so struggled against his grasp. The girl was hefted onto his shoulder before that affinity so began to clutch at him, that ice quickly gripping his legs before creeping with a slowness up his body. She could feel his skin turning cold beneath her and yet, those affinities hardly ceased till his lips turned blue and his skin soon followed suit. That ice cracked as his body slumped lifelessly to the ground, Serafina soon following suit.

A soft breath left her lips, those goosebumps running up and down her flesh and yet, despite the coldness, she was all too willing to draw that ice closer towards her, those icicles making an obstacle course for any who dared to come near her. She was running out of ideas, the young woman entirely oblivious to how utterly close that safety truly was.
