South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

we built this city on broken glass

It was one thing to feel some sense of...anticipation for that upcoming return to his homeland and yet even that had paled, for now, with the very concept of meeting those parents- and Nadya's hair. Nothing was as pale as Nadya's hair. The very moment his girlfriend had emerged from the bathroom with that newly platinum hair she had managed to draw his attention. It was almost bizzare to see such a colour upon her, those white blonde locks as striking as her naturally dark hair and yet in an entirely different way. A part of the stallion unable to deny that attraction he felt to that very shade of hair that had dominated so much of his life and adorned his own head and yet too it was so strikingly different from the woman he had known for so long. For all the surprise he had taken in that appearance however, the children had taken more. Micah had been content to scream for hours on end in fear of the blonde woman whom had replaced his Mother. Isabella had, mercifully, been quicker to overcome that initial shock and yet even Frost remained near unable to prevent his violet gaze from lignering upon those locks with that mix of both attraction and curiosity.

He had insisted, several times over, that changing the colour off her hair with his own affinity was hardly a trying task. His powers had grown exponentially since he had met Alexander (even if he hardly spoke off his work with the Hunter to his girlfriend) and yet she had been equally insistent that she had no desire for his energy to be wasted in maintaining an illusion when she could achieve the same effect with a bottle of dye. Frost had come to learn, some months ago, that arguing with nadya rarely achieved anything. The panther was as determined as himself when she set her mind to something, that very tenacity of character just one of those traits that had allured him to her in the beginning and yet.....he hardly knew how to explain to her parents why she had died her hair to match his own. They were likely to believe he was attempting to kidnap her into some sort of cult. Frost undecided as to just what emotions near plagued him on that drive.

Nadya was his first- in so many things. His first true girlfriend, his first true relationship, the first woman to share his bed with his consent. He was, by nature, near notoriously guarded in all things. His emotion perhaps most of all and yet he had, slowly, terribly slowly, begun to allow Nadya alone to slip beneath those barricades and masks he wore like a shield. Those very feelings he held for her were...beyond any he had ever felt for another. Different to any he had felt for even his mother or those few siblings he had grown close too. Nadya was by far the greatest and most exploitable weakness he held. The very thing he had so sworn he would never allow himself to become afflicted with and yet he had done it all the same. That obsession of sorts he had held with Nadya from their very first meeting so quickly having made itself known as an infatuation, those feelings having shifted over time to a genuine affection and in those past few months something significantly more. It had taken him months to truly recognise that sensation. To truly understand it and just why it affected him so deeply. It was affection and adoration and protection all at once a level far more profound than any other emotion. Nadya alone the cause of so many of those fledgling sensations in a man near infamous for his inability to feel. He had hardly uttered those words aloud, at least, not to Nadya. This entire situation so decidedly new to him that he hardly knew how to begin and yet that realisation could hardly be denied any longer. He loved Nadya.

And for perhaps that reason alone he had agreed to meet her parents.

He had known few parental figures in his life outside off his own mother. The concept of meeting Nadya's own was almost unsettling in a fashion he was rarely given to be unsettled. A part of him near desiring to....impress these people. To have them approve of him even if he was assured such a task would already be difficult. He was already different from them in far more ways than one. Frost aware too, off his own...demeanor. The stallion rarely inclined to meet new people in any sense. That icy demeanor slow to thaw even when he desired it too. Nadya herself was quiet for almost all of that drive, speaking up only to give him those directions as the car made its way down that suburban street and to the sort of house Frost was assured he had once seen in those books his mother had smuggled to him in the dark. These were the people, the family, that had raised the woman he loved and for that he perhaps owed them some measure of respect and yet he was....vastly unprepared for that moment. Frost having little idea, truly, of just what might be expected of him. The stallion determined to at least leave a positive impression upon them if only because he desired to please Nadya in turn. That trip to Iceland and the concerns that came with that were pushed to the back off his mind for now.

That car had no sooner stopped then Nadya turned easily to him, that question on whether or not he was ready seeing his gaze meet her own as he shut off that car and placed the keys within the pocket off his jacket. That faintest note of concern finding those cool, smooth lyrics.

"I have never...done this before."

He had spoken to Nadya already about his hesitance in this. The Panther having assured him more then once that he would surely be fine and yet these people had little reason to find favour with him. Even if only because he was a horse. He could only pray they had not decided to hold some sort of BBQ for lunch they expected him to partake off. His slid easily from the car then, shutting that door behind him before wandering around to assist Nadya in getting the children ready. Frost reaching easily to take Micah's hand. His stepson clinging tightly to it if only because he provided a sense of security for the boy who still remained fearful of the blonde woman who had replaced his Mother.

"I fear for their reactions if any of the children you have with me take on my hair."

That hint of amusement managed to find his words all the same, that very sentence offered quietly to Nadya alone. This perhaps the first time Frost had made any mention of expanding that family they already had, of that very life that existed before them and the clear notion that the stallion cleary had thought of what that future held for them both and their relationship. Frost so simply...expecting those children with Nadya even if they had hardly spoken in depth about any such plan. The War Horse shifted then to allow Nadya to lead the way to the door, that knock seeming to echo throughout that house before the door swung suddenly open to reveal a rather petite woman with neat hair. Those greetings barely offered before she queried Nadya's hair. He had known the hair would be an issue. Frost frowning slightly and yet Micah was eager to near drag him through the door and into that neat home.

"Good morning."

It seemed....the proper greeting offer the woman- if not an overly formal one. Frost offering his hand to shake Cynthia's own before they reached that living room- ony to find himself confronted with a giant of man whom all but towered over him. His own equine senses well aware of the sheer amount of predators surrounding him in that moment. That veritable flight and fight response stirring within him as he roughly shoved it down. Frost determined to exact that control he so often did. The man refusing to display that instinctive fear his very species was near designed to feel in just that situation. Robert, it seemed, content to query Nadya's hair in much the same fashion before the man's eyes fell on his own. He was near assured this man blamed Nadya's hair on him. Frost near oblivious to the notion that he had taken to staring at Robert in the same fashion the man stared at him, neither, it seemed, willing to break that eye contact in that unspoken battle. At least until Izzy rushed forward. Frost releasing Micah's hand in turn to let the boy join his sister. The Icelandic man equally unaware of the notion his features had remained as stoic as always- Nadya's parents likely to take him for being distinctly unfriendly. That desire to have them approve off him prompting the stallion to break that silence all the same as Frost allowed his figure to...relax slightly, if only to afford that subtle insistence he was hardly a threat and yet that confidence remained all the same as he held his hand out to Robert in turn.

"Robert, was it? And Cynthia. Nadya has told me about you."
His words, as always, held that cool, smooth tone. That sentence direct if nothing else, in the manner Frost so tended to be.

Well. It had hardly been the worst thing to say.
