South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

kissing death and loosing my breath
The past had always held such strangely fond memories for the youthful witch. Although her world had been surprisingly difficult - what with living off of the fortune the streets had to offer her, Serafina had enjoyed her time with Tamzin and the other children. They had created an impromptu family of sorts, delinquents sharing the goods they had pilfered from their various crimes in an attempt to get buy in a world that hardly wanted them. It had always brought a smile to her lips to think of them, especially during the first few years of her stay under her mentor. She had thought that perhaps with enough diligence - she might learn some magical affinity that might assist her in her escape. That was before she had discovered what she had assumed had been her largely magical ineptitude. Although her blood had become tinted that same metallic color as that of her warlock companion, it had taken her years before was able to develop any real capabilities. Even now her magical skills were rather subpar to those of other witches she met - restricted to materialistic things and uncontrollable presences then any real mastery.

Her lips parted, fully intending to voice her difficulties within the world she had been thrust into only to find her companion abruptly rising. The witch's eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly, her gaze following the woman as she made her way towards the bar, exchanging the glass she had emptied with far too much ease for another full one. At this rate Serafina began to wonder just how long she'd have a sober Tamzin for. It surprised her really, that her return might cause so much distress to the woman that she might rather prefer the bottom of her glass. The girl's head reclined nonchallantly on her hand, her fingertips continuing to circle the glass as she waited for the Dark Hunter's return. She allowed the woman a moment to nurse her beverage before once again making some effort to pick up the conversation where she had left off.

"I know I could have. It wasn't an issue of needing a place to go, Tamzin. I would have come to you in moments if I thought it was necessary." She paused just long enough to take a sip of the Vodka she favored. "I didn't want to go with him - with the man who turned me into what I am now. I didn't want to stay with him. But I was a mortal and he was this magnificent thing with powers beyond what I could even comprehend. He kept me because he wanted to keep me and I stayed because I had no other choice - at least. That's the way it was for years." She paused, a small frown crossing her lips. "By the time I had his trust enough to venture from his care, I wouldn't have even begun to know where to look for you....but...we found each other now? Doesn't that count for something?" She inquired, a small pleading hint lacing her soprano lyrics. A part of her wondered if perhaps Tamzin was still capable of pulling the trigger on her, if she would really kill her...or maybe, their history together would be enough for them to put their species' differences aside and pick up on the relationship she had so strongly valued.
