East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Despite the tensions that resonated deeply within the siblings, Tetradore still made every effort to check on his sibling's welfare every so often. Oft, this included sending Jackal down towards burlesque with an adequate enough amount of money lining his pockets to at least keep him satisfied with the task he was presented with. However, on the far rarer occasion, the ebony panther himself would prowl the gloom that surrounded the periphery of her establishment, ensuring himself that she was wholly okay. Such adventures into the heart of Sacrosanct tended to occur almost immediately after being awoken in a drench of sweat with some lingering nightmare of his once vampire mistress. Tonight, much to his great dissatisfaction, was one such day. The man awoke with the memories of a conflagration dancing on the forefront of his brain, the vampire's wicked gleam still painted with painful precision upon his mind, even though she had been gone from his life for nearly a year. The atrocities he had experienced as her pet were not easily forgotten - enough so that it set the feline on edge for the remainder of the day. Tetradore quite purposefully went out of his way to check on the well-being of the entirety of his pack, even if such a task required nearly scaling most of the cargo ship. It wasn't, however, until he'd seen to his sister's safety that the male could find any measure of placidity.

He sat quite comfortably upon the metal fire escape of the building catty corner to the Cat's Meow. His tail was curled around him, his belly rested against the cool metal whilst his emerald eyes intently observed the comings and goings of the patrons and employees. He noticed with a brief hint of inquisitiveness the young fae he had found settled alone within the foliage of the park not terribly long ago. His ears twitched forward, his ebony tail flicking ever so slightly at the smallest display of certain curiosity. Tetradore had not truly thought much of the fairy after depositing her within the capable care of his sibling. After all, he'd hardly known the female long enough to draw any real conclusion upon her existence. That said, now that she was only feet below him, he found himself pondering just how well she was adjusting to life at the burlesque with the other danseuses. Lackadaisically, the ebony feline rose to his pads, with his reassurance on his sister's welfare, he saw no reason why he couldn't stalk the lithe female as well.

At least, such had been his intention before her screaming voice interrupted all train of thought. Abruptly his emerald eyes refocused on the girl, spotting the silver that lined the edge of the tip of the arrow beside her. A low growl reverberated within the far back of his throat as his lead lifted up, nearly tasting the air that surrounded the pair. Hunter. He knew the scent of them far too much, their stench filling his nostrils. Tetradore hardly hesitated any longer, bounding down the steps in a forward leap. He stepped in front of the young woman, his intelligent gaze briefly turning over his shoulder to glance at her before the large feline turned to face the perceived thread head on. It was true that his territory was entirely consistent of the West side of town - but this hunter had stepped upon his sister's turf, which, naturally, was in turn his. He stalked into the shadows, his otherworldly powers already rushing to his aid. His jaws parted, his teeth gleamed in the low light from the light post across the street as Tetradore released a much louder roar, one that was quite clearly meant as a warning cry. If there was any one trait that was well bred into the creature, it was never to back down from that which he possessed.
