Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Samantha Cassidy

Samantha's eyes were almost entirely unfocused as she moved to let the man within her home. She was so tired. It took almost everything she had to simply keep herself on her feet. In fact, she barely realized that the other man was even there until he spoke up to mention the other man that lived within her home. "Oh," She said almost absently as she settled upon the couch, piling those blankets on top of her. She was so cold. She missed the way she could curl up next to Aiden and feel his body heat. He was always so warm. God, she would never feel that again. She would never feel how wonderful he felt. "Um. Dorian is at his boyfriend's right now. I told him to leave. I wasn't... going anywhere tonight." She said quietly, reaching up to run a hand through her tangled locks. She didn't respond to his inquiry as to whether or not she was cold - of course she was - though instead focused on trying to give him a tiny smile.

She was relieved when he finally spoke, if only because it gave up the awkward tension in the air. She hated the way he looked at her so deeply. She hated that he might see what she really was: a scared, broken girl. Samantha wanted to be the queen he'd seen her as last time, though really she was afraid that she had never been that person. All of her queen status had been built on the fears that didn't even need to exist. Still, she tried to ignore those fears and look up at Troy as he said those words that would have thrilled her had it not been for the latest tragedy in her life. "You want to join me?" Samantha said quietly as she sat up slightly, her eyes focused on him for perhaps the first time since he walked into her apartment. "Troy that's... of course..." She said, her smile growing just a little bit wider at the idea of it.

But then... but then he spoke of hearing things and Samantha shivered. "What kind of..." She started, flinching just a bit when he leaned forward and lowered his voice. Had she been to the boat lately? The boat? What bo... Oh. The Ark. Oh god. Samantha's whole body seemed to tense up as she shook her head just a little. Stop. Stop, she wanted to say. Don't say any more. But when she opened her mouth, no words came out. And then Troy - god, he didn't know because she hadn't told him - furthered why he was asking and suddenly Samantha couldn't breathe. So this was what it had come to? The love of her life's death had come down to a joke in the supernatural community? They didn't know what had happened - hell, Samantha herself was still struggling to come to terms with it - and yet they were joking about it?

"Shut up," Samantha said sharply, her voice every bit the icy cold tone of the queen that she was. "Shut up, you don't know what you're talking about, Troy." Samantha turned her head away, leaning her forehead against the back of the couch as she struggled to simply breathe. Tears threatened to spill and damn it, damn it. "You don't know what happened. You didn't know him. You don't know that he loved his pack more than anything, or that he worked practically round the clock to run that stupid Ark. You don't know that he hated the cold or that he loved my chocolate chip cookies above everyone elses..." She tugged those blankets closer around her as that sob escaped her lips. "You don't get to make him the butt of a joke, Troy. You don't get to laugh about it when the love of my life was burnt to death right in front of me."
