Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Sterling was entirely oblivious to the effect his simple touch had upon the items he picked up, his whole intention entirely settled upon so assisting the girl in the fashion any good neighbor would have. He was hardly on a first name basis with most of his neighbors but he did at least try to be companionably to them, wishing them a good night or a good morning or saying hello when he passed them in the halls. This was perhaps no different. Still, as he handed her back those objects she'd lost, he found his gaze shifting to the cauldron that had likely so caused that box to break in the first place. The thing looked...heavy. Still, he could hardly help wondering if she was what he could only assume she was. His own instincts and ability to so tell the races apart were lackluster at best, the man often settling for the simple knowledge he held of their existence, as little as it happened to be. Still, as awkward as it was, Sterling found that he simply had to know what she was, for more reason then one, that question immediately falling from his lips.

That shock that so registered upon her face was nearly instantly noticeable by the man, his eyebrow raising ever so slightly in a sudden uncertainty. After all, his interactions with the other species were few and far between. Perhaps it was against social norms to so...inquire in this fashion? Was there like some secret witch/warlock handshake or something that he was entirely unaware of. His head tilted slowly to the side as he watched the girl, entirely inquisitive of her answer and yet, that silence she presentded him with certainly made him nervous to a certain degree. He slowly bit the inside of his lip, waiting for that stuttered confirmation that he had guessed right. Perhaps it was silly of him but that simple admittance caused a warm simper to so blossom across his features. She was the second of his kind that he had ever met. It was as if their identity was some dark secret that, finally, someone else could understand.

Still, the young woman's explanation certainly caught him off guard, those eyebrows furrowing as he so considered this natural magic she spoke of. "That sounds...crazy convenient. The best I've got is this." He commented, his hand reaching out ever so slightly to position palm up between them. It was simply, that fire he so effortlessly called to his aid, the flame within his hand entirely small and yet undeniable. "Not exactly to the same effect." He offered with a shrug, that flickering conflagration disappearing moment's later. He let that silence between them persist for a moment, entirely unsure of what to say to her now before she thrusted her hand in front of him. "Oh." He commented, reaching out to shake hers. "Sterling Tenembrage. It's nice to meet you. If you need anything just let me know okay? I live in in 204." He offered her another warm smile, entirely pleased with himself despite the awkwardness of perhaps the whole encounter. After all, at least now he sort of knew someone in his building, that had to be the highlight of his entire day so far.
