Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Sebastian Ellingtonget close enough to have fun
but not enough to get attached

That genteel press of Dorian's lips against his own was ever so gingerly returned, even though Sebastian knew well they were entirely within the view of the public. How far his lover had come in those months they had dated! Once upon a time, the King had viewed the simple holding of hands as a blasphemous action that would surely see the end of them and yet, now he so freely exclaimed him not only as Consort but too publicly showed his affections. It was vastly more than Sebastian could have ever expected. And yet, he was hardly oblivious to the simple fact that his lover's desire to so see that union through was but tip of the iceberg of those matters of his own heart. Nor was he unaware that his lover surely had concerns vastly more important than those insecurities that ran rampant throughout his thoughts - brought on, surely, by his own previous experiences. A soft breath left his lips as he uttered, quite simply, that they would speak of it later, entirely attempting to dismiss the concerns from the Monarch's mind. His indigo eyes glanced upwards in that moment, registering the bewilderment etched in those silver irises. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as that once glimpse of joy all but drained from the King's features.

The vampire was hardly concerned enough to glance at the individuals seated around them. After all, even if they had overheard their conversation, it would have been rude to even indicate such. It was that tone he was presented with that saw his lips press together ever so slightly and yet, he remained mute in response. After all, it seemed as if he had, unintentionally so, made his lover unhappy. He had little desire to further what he had done - especially not here in the face of the public. It was with that thought in mind that saw the man make sure noteable effort to forcing his own worry further down within him, instead choosing to actually eat that chocolate and alcohol drenched cake. He could hardly deny that it was entirely delicious, the creation blossoming upon his tongue in a plethora of flavors the man usually would have relished within. It was inevitable, however, that he found his plate, and in turn his glass once again empty and yet, this time, it seemed as if his lover was uninterested in lingering. He rose but moments after the King, trailing after the man as his gaze briefly brushed over those strange faces of his lover's court that so diligently stood respectfully.

Sebastian trailed after the King, following the man back to that suite he had become accustomed to. He was hardly surprised that his love swept through the parlour and reception room and straight to the privacy of his own bedroom. Still, he paused just over that threshold, his indigo eyes entirely settled upon Dorian with a hint of concern. That warmth that so eagerly embraced him and the doors shut behind him were, for once, completely ignored, his attention settled upon the King alone. His blue eyes briefly met those silver once again and yet, that sigh that left the fae's lips produced a feeling of dread within his stomach. His gaze shifted towards the ground in an entirely guilty manner. Sebastian hadn't meant to cause this. He had been daft to think that uttered admittance would have been an acceptable topic to discuss - ever. He shouldn't have said anything and yet, now, it was entirely his duty to make things better. His head rose ever so slightly, the vampire hardly willing to let himself further soil their evening. After all, they had made plans for tonight and Sebastian intended to see them though. He had a promise to keep and, at this rate, without his own intervention it was entirely plausible that he might find himself failing to see his word through.

It was the sound of his own name that caused his attention to shift and yet, he hardly objected to that idea, fully intending to see it through in the way he always had in the past. That flick of his wrist was all that was necessary to cause the vampire to follow him, his own feet stepping upon the heels of his shoes to slide them off before he moved to join his lover upon the bed. He watched as Dorian pulled two boards from beneath the bed, graciously accepting the one he was handed with a soft, "Thank you.". His navy eyes trailed over the numbers with but vague curiosity. He placed that board in front of him, his gaze glancing briefly towards the bag his lover had placed next to them. The vampire's attention shifted as Dorian began to speak and, softly, a simper crossed his features at the mention of that assurance he had given the King but hours before. "Of course." He muttered, entirely prepared, or so he thought, for this game he was presented with. It was this, he assumed, had been Dorian's idea, the man entirely unprepared for the way in which the King continued but moments later and, briefly his features surely showed his own bewilderment.

"Oh." That word fell flatly from his lips as his eyes turned downward and towards that wooden board in front of him. His hand reached up, running through his blond locks in a small display of distress. After all, he was intending to simply forget all those concerns that so deeply perturbed him, if only to better his lover's mood and now, to be faced with them, Sebastian was entirely uncertain as to whether he should voice them. After all, he didn't want to make things worse then he already had and yet, that tingling within his body and that haziness within his mind had caused his lips to part quite before he could stop himself, those thoughts falling into that empty space entirely unfiltered for perhaps the first time in all those months he had been at Dorian's side. "I am not opposed to marrying you, Ma Bichette. Aside from the fact that I believe it's still illegal here. Blimey, how does one even go about proposing to a King? You're minted and..." His voice trailed off momentarily, realizing well he was getting distracted and yet, as that alcohol coursed through his veins that accent and British slang returned to the vampire with a vengeance. A small flick of his wrist was all that was given as Sebastian refocused instead upon that singular fact that had, perhaps worried him most of all. "I'm being daft, I know." He muttered simply, more to himself then the King across from him. "I know, I know, you and Isabella are...so bloody different but I...sometimes need to be reminded of that." It was the first time in years since he'd actually spoken the syllables that made up her name, those numerous drinks he'd so quickly inhaled were beginning to catch up to him.

"We used to have so many blooming rows about it, you know." He continued, his gaze traveling elsewhere and yet, for the first time, he gave his lover but a hint of that marriage he so rarely spoke of. "I can't help it that, even after marrying you, I may still come home smelling of someone else. I might flirt with someone in front of you for their blood. I just..." A frustrated sigh left his lips as his gaze turned back towards Dorian, "I can't help what I am, Dorian. I know you are okay with it now, so was she, but after our wedding it was different - as if love was somehow enough to stop me being dead." His lips twisted in a frown as the vampire abruptly leaned forward over those wooden boards. His hands gingerly cupped his lover's features as he continued in a far more somber fashion. "I can't lose you like I lost her. I love you too much for that." His lips tenderly brushed against the King's own in a tender show of affection before he released his hold upon the man, instead letting the top of his head lean into Dorian's chest. "I couldn't survive losing you...I'm sorry I've made such a cock up of tonight." Sebastian's words had turned in a mere whisper in that moment, the man entirely aware that all of this was his fault alone.
