Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

She would admit one thing. If there's anything he was good at other than sex, it was washing someone. His hands were magical even with a washrag. It was like a massage with soap and she could fall asleep to the touch of his hands cleaning her body. It was relaxing like nothing else. Their bodies were recovering well from their little bout of physical activity, their breathing returning to normal. She told him he was hopeless and she could almost feel him rolling his eyes behind her. Her lips tugged into a small smirk but she bit her tongue, letting him have his moment as he offered to make her toast. She knew it wasn't no five star dinner but when had she ever had a taste for that anyway? No, she was used to living off of fast food and vendor booths on the sidewalk, whatever she could get on the go. She knew how to cook, has just never really had the time. Maybe she would surprise Kohl with some food some time, after she had a chance to see his kitchen appliances and make sure she knew how to work them.

She thought it was quite adorable that he wanted to make her food and even more so that it was probably about the only food he knew how to make. He was trying to indulge her and it was cute. He said he could spread anything, his eyes looking at her teasingly as his fingers traced her thigh. She moaned softly at his touch, squirming in the warm water as she eyed him in suspicion. Was he looking for round two or something? She chuckled.

"I BET YOU CAN."

She practically purred back at him, even as her own hand reached out in challenge, stroking her fingers along his lower stomach, just inches above the most sensitive muscle just beneath the water. Two could play at that game. When his gaze went to her arm, she followed it to look but she had managed to keep the bandaging dry. She believed she was grasping the edge of the tub most of the time but it would probably be mostly healed by the morning. When her adrenaline went up, it helped promote healing and let's just say her adrenaline was certainly up just moments ago. She looked at his face, trying to read his expression, her head tilting a little as she raised a brow. He almost looked thoughtful as he looked at her arm, as if he was still thinking about what she told him about what happened. She knew she would have to go out after that doberman again. She couldn't just let her keep hurting people. That vampire was just a nuisance but as far as she knew, he hadn't killed anyone so for now, he was safe. That is, unless he got in her way again.

She knew he worried for her when she was hunting but she loved her job, her duty. She was protecting people and she wouldn't have it any other way. In a perfect world, he would be at her side, hunting with her. But she wouldn't try to change Kohl. She loved him just the way he was. Yes, she could admit it in her head all day long. It was the saying it out loud thing that caused hesitation. Maybe it was because she had that wall up for so long that to say those words seemed like she was tearing it down in one swift movement. When she reached for the rag, she could see his skepticism but when she gave him a look, he sighed and she knew she had won. Her lips twitched in a smirk as she started to clean him as he had done for her, her hands working along his skin gently and she could tell this could go so many different directions. She couldn't help herself though. He meant so much to her and she needed him to know. She couldn't risk losing him because now that she found him, she couldn't imagine her life without him. She saw him grin as she ran her nose alongside his before resting her head on his shoulder. It was relaxing to inhale his scent and as his strong arms wrapped around her, she'd never felt more safe.

Maybe that's what made it a little easier to say it, to finally say the words she'd been dying to say. She felt his whole body go still and she waited with bated breath for him to do something, say something, anything. She had to know that it wasn't too late. Then he said that she had him worried and she felt her lips smiling into his shoulder as she finally pulled back to look into his gaze. Her hand came up to cup his cheek.

"YOU NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ME. I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE."

He smiled, cupping her chin and then his lips were on her for a soft loving kiss. She knew this was a big moment for them, a rare serious moment of actually saying what you feel. It probably wouldn't happen again for a long time so she would cherish it while it lasted so later she could go back to her usual smartass self. He kissed her once more and she returned it, her tongue brushing his lips teasingly. She couldn't help herself when it came to him. He told her that he liked it a lot and she smiled, enjoying this soft moment with him before reality would take over once more. He said that they should get breakfast going and she nodded.

"AFTER YOU, CHEF KOHL."

She said teasingly as he got out of the bath and offered his hand. She took it, standing and stepping out. A soft laugh fell from her lips as he wrapped her in a towel before grabbing one for himself. It was just so romantic of him and she was still getting used to it, even after all this time. He held her hand all the way into the kitchen, releasing it just to start the toast. She watched with amusement, leaning against the kitchen counter as he went to work. She found an empty counter to lift herself up onto, sitting on it to watch him continue. Her head tilted, eyes twinkling with amusement as he turned back to her with a grin. Adorable. She laughed again when he said that he had done something, that he was a domestic god.

"I DID SEE THAT. WATCH OUT WORLD."
