Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The monarch's words still rested heavily upon the vampire's thoughts, even as he settled within that seat to so listen with as much feigned interest as possible over the new scientific advancements that the research team before them was requesting financial aid for. Very little of the proceedings before him were of any great interest, even that rainbow colored flag that had be so delicately wrapped within tissue paper caused but a small nod of appreciation. In truth, Sebastian cared very little for the rights of relationships such as their own. After all, they still happened behind closed doors as they so often did and, in turn, had little effect upon that blossoming love he held for the King beside him. It was, unfortunately, the mention of the only individual both men seemed to have an innate dislike for that drew Sebastian's thoughts from those internal wonderings. His lips pressed together at that suggestion that fell from the President's lips, even under the guise of so caring for the elder souls that haunted those hauls. Thankfully, he was spared any future words instead by another of his kind so effortlessly interjected, unexpectedly making the effort to so crusade for him in the name of their shared species. It was curious, really, and wholly unexpected though Sebastian was willing to admit himself pleasantly surprised all the same.

It was only his lover's inquiry on his thoughts of this time matter and Dorian's insistence that they invite the Spaniard for tea that saw Sebastian's gaze shift from the now loudly arguing pair. He was willing to compromise to a point, knowing well how utterly inconvenient it was to run an entire nation around his rather unfortunate schedule. It was endearing, truly, the fashion at which Dorian made such an effort to include him such activities, so willing to turn the very palace upon it's head, even if it was hardly necessary in the slightest. Although Sebastian excelled well enough within the limelight, he had never held expectations to be in a place such as this. He watched briefly as Dorian's head bobbed in a small nod, that consideration so seemed to flutter across his lover's handsome features before they returned to that cool, calm confidence that Dorian so seemed to exude. Truly, it was quite intriguing to watch the fashion at which he so fit into that role of King, fully capable of commanding an entire room with just a simple clearing of his throat. Tonight was the first true glimpse he had of seeing his lover within that role and yet, he could scarcely deny his boyfriend was not wholly fetching in that fashion, the vampire almost far more content to eye the King then that court as a whole - at least for several moments longer still while those thoughts drifted to places they certainly should not have given his current place.

Slowly, the vampire tore his gaze from his lover, instead falling upon the crowd as the President continued on topics not only of far less interest but also of far less conflict. He listened but vaguely to those remaining courtiers before that very moment of truth. Despite that facade of placidity, Sebastian could nearly feel his lover's anxiety at so informing his court of his intentions for the future and yet, truly, he could hardly blame him in the slightest. Those murmurs that so seemed to beset that room entirely saw the vampire's gaze shift over that crowd and yet, truly, there was little he could do to so assist his lover in that moment. He was hardly surprised in the slightest as that President stepped forward once again and yet the man's clear, clipped tones had a fashion of prematurely declaring his success. How foolish the man was to call a King unfit for his own throne simply for wishing to be elsewhere within the world! If he were of any true intelligence, Sebastian was sure he would have seen that, truly, their departure would have given the President that very same control that role had for centuries back. The vampire nearly found the President's ploy for power....disappointing.

Still, his gaze shifted ever so silently from President to King and back again, entirely intrigued with his lover's rebuttal. It was all to clear that Dorian had put noteable effort into ensuring he was capable of leaving these walls, dotting every proverbial 'i' and crossing every 't' before that suggestion to his court even left his lips. It was hardly impossible really, the fae King truly had little notion of how easy it was to be involved in his country from afar. Dorian's knowledge of those technological advances was slim as it was and still even he saw the possibilities that existed within it. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as that man that so stood before them continued, wholly objecting the idea with but another excuse to either keep the King here or, see the man give up his titles altogether and yet, even Sebastian was not willing to allow his lover to so abdicate that easily. If it was a requirement that Dorian remain within the borders of his country for half a year, he would have faithfully stayed. Thankfully, it was another familiar voice that so interrupted that argument, that simple number of exactly how many days were required of them saw the vampire's eyebrows raise ever so slightly. Thirty? That was it?

Sebastian's crystalline blue gaze settled upon that figure of his boyfriend's father, his head bobbing in acknowledgement of that bow he was so afforded and yet, the vampire remained wholly silent throughout the entire exchange. After all, such was certainly his place, was it not? That very mention of Barcelona, however, certainly caused a simper to dance across his features, that country the trio had so spoken of but once seemed to consistently be a topic they returned to - much like that one of marriage. Sebastian was hardly surprised that, even when faced with such factual evidence, the President seemed unwilling to give in, clearly hoping instead that Parliament would side when him when so consulted. Somehow, however, with Matteo in the man's wake, Sebastian sincerely doubted that things would quite go the way the President planned. He was quite thankful, however, that Dorian seemed quite content to end Court but moment's later, that certainly active room falling silent in an entirely respectful fashion as the two men rose to leave the room to their own devices. He had little doubt that they would not be speaking of this for at least days to come. Nevertheless, the vampire joined his lover but moment's later as those large, ornate doors closed behind them.

His attention turned then, towards the King at his side and yet, before any words of encouragement could leave his lips, he was presented with what seemed like a breath of relief from his lover. A warm simper traced the vampire's features before his head shook ever so slightly. "I somehow doubt Matteo would have accepted disappointing you, Ma Biche." He commented softly and yet, even it was said with a sort of confidence that only came from, surely, knowing that relationship between the two men. He followed within his lover's steps, so trailing beside the King as they once again moved down that very hallway and back towards those rooms the King seemed to favor far more than this one. That smile, however, remained present upon his features as Dorian's fingers once again interlaced within his own. His head bobbed in silent agreement of Dorian's belief that he might be capable of remaining entirely in charge of Italy, regardless of where they were. That prospect of so returning here, however, hardly bothered the vampire in the slightest, his hand gingerly squeezing Dorian's own. "I think we can certainly do that. There is still much of Italy herself I would like to see." In truth, he had been willing to sacrifice far more than a month each year to ensure his lover remained upon that throne. This was very little in comparison.
