Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

If he didn't know better he'd almost think the Englishman enjoyed being bitten, at least, to a certain extent. The way Sebastian's breath seemed to hitch in those moments Arlo so diligently searched for a vein, allowing his lips and tongue to explore that flesh, was hardly missed. The man against him seeming remarkably responsive to those touches, innocent as they were. Then again, should he have really been surprised? Isn't this what vampire lovers did with each other? Wasn't some part of them programmed to enjoy the sting of those teeth and the exchange of blood? In that all-too precarious moment Arlo found he hardly had the presence of mind to consider the rightness or wrongness of those sounds he managed to coax from the other man as his teeth bit sharply into that flesh and readily coaxed that flow of blood to the surface. The taste of it was heavenly, far better than anything he had ever tasted before, his grip tightening all the more on that fellow as he greedily drew mouthful after mouthful of that heated liquid from those veins and down his own throat. That groan that stirred within Sebastian managed to coax that equally appreciative sound from within Arlo himself as his venom raced through the other man until he was near leaning on him entirely. He hardly minded the way Sebastian seemed to attempt to pull him closer and his fingers so bunched at his shirt, Arlo far to lost in that taste to comprehend those carnal desires, a part of him, too, almost enjoying that closeness that came from feeding from someone not trying to throw him off.

The thinning of that blood however, so readily caught his attention. Sebastian's body attempting to heal far before Arlo was willing to let it. The man shifting his feeding upward to bite into his companion all over again and saturate his bloodstream with another dose of that venom. This bite seeming to render the other vampire near incapable of standing at all as another moan seemed to fall from Sebastian. Arlo couldn't blame him he supposed, not really, that venom did feel good- or so he was told. That feeling it produced the only thing that allowed him to get away with any of his feedings- he was sure. It was several more moments still before his finally closed the wounds, his tongue so unashamedly catching any leftover drops he may have missed from the man's neck before stepping back at last. God he felt good. He felt...alive. The world seeming somehow clearer, that energy seeming to have returned to the man along with his far more personable temperament now that his corpse of a body had finally found something to feast upon. Arlo near forgetting his victim in that moment of exuberance- one hand reaching out to grasp Sebastian's arm again and keep him standing upright as the other vampire slumped against him entirely, Sebastian's cheek resting against his chest. This was exactly why he'd told the man to sit down- but no- he didn't listen did he? Arlo momentarily attempting to work out where best to put his hands, merely settling for resting them lightly on his companion's shoulders to help balance him. Sebastian seeming almost flattered to be told he tasted pleasant. Well- it was a compliment- in a way. Arlo sure he tasted damn better then he even comprehended. The query as to his preference was met with some mutter that he had none. Sebastian evidently still capable of talking. That was good in the least. Arlo offering his name only to be given Sebastian's in turn.

"Seb it is then."

Seb, after all, sounded far better than 'Sebastian' at least to Arlo's manner of thinking. The other vampire eyeing him for several moments, Arlo almost inclined to ask him just why he was looking at him like that before he managed some muttering about how he thought Arlo looked like a good time. His own lip quirked upward, Arlo grinning readily then as that chuckle of amusement rose within him. Sebastian's head burying further into his shoulder, Arlo eyeing him almost quizzically a moment- the true intent behind those words so apparently lost upon him. Sebastian, he was sure, was clearly after someone to party with, right? The younger man taking an entirely different meaning from those words, letting Sebastian lay against his chest all the same. It was his fault the guy was high after all, he could at least let him lay there right? I mean...this wasn't...weird was it?

"I would have been a good time once, man. I mean, I used to do it all. I used to be in a band, we hit the big time early on. Sex, drugs and rock'n'roll- the whole she-bang. I used to be the life of the fucking party and then this whole....vampire shit. I suppose it wasn't that bad, I mean...I'd have killed myself anyway, the way I was going, the crap I was doing- god I miss it sometimes though."

That laugh that followed was almost bitter. Christ, how long had it been since he thought of that? Since he admitted to missing it? One hand lifting to run through his near-black hair before hurriedly grasping Sebastian again lest he topple over. A drawn out sigh falling from his lips at last.

"You know Dude, I haven't even gotten laid in like...nearly a year? You know what it's like right? Things heat up, you get kinda excited, you try not to bite 'em but suddenly it's like all you want to do. Then I...well...I tend to...er...knock them out. My venom doesn't last as long in humans but it's pretty strong, they end up unconscious usually- and call me old fashioned but- I don't tend to sleep with unconscious women. Kills the mood a bit. I don't know how to....not bite. It's like an instinct I can't stop. Whatever."

Why he was even admitting to these things he hardly knew and yet it wasn't like Sebastian was going to remember much of this, was he? The man was barely standing, his words little more then mutterings, he probably wouldn't remember much of it and maybe Arlo hardly cared if he did. He rarely spent any real time with any other vampires, his own Maker was dead, who else was he supposed to offer these problems too in the middle of the night? His Little Bear wasn't there every night and besides, he hardly wanted to bore her with his life's problems. Better to just tell the random high stranger he'd likely never see again. Although what tips he intended to pick up from this guy he hardly knew. Then again, he had a ring, he was either married or engaged or....something. That was one hell of an achievement for a vampire. How nice it must be to have someone to....go home too. Someone happy to see you when you got there. Arlo turning his gaze away from Sebastian's hands determinedly.

"Can you stand now, bud? I'm going to get you something to eat. I'll be back in a minute just....lean against the wall a little. That's the way."

He shifted Sebastian lightly, attempting to make sure the man had some sort of balance before stepping away from him at last. A part of him....almost sad to give up that closeness and yet, he supposed, this was what came from feeding from someone who let you. It was almost intimate in a way. That was better not thought about. He disappeared almost instantly, leaving Sebastian to recover against the wall, reappearing less than five minutes later with a young woman in tow. Those fresh bite marks upon her wrist clearly indicative of Arlo's work upon her in turn. The woman still walking and yet she managed to stumble no more than three of four steps, muttering incoherently that she was having an amazing time before collapsing into his arms entirely. Well- someone fully mobile might have been a challenge for Seb right now all the same, Arlo hoisting her upward for those last few strides, placing her gently at the foot of the wall and beside his newfound companion, one hand brushing that blonde hair away from her neck.

"Don't worry, she's fine, she'll wake up in about fifteen minutes or so and I'll take her right back where I got her. Then we can hit that party if you're still up for that good time you wanted. I might know a place. I can get you plenty to eat if you're still hungry after her."

Maybe if he could bring this guy enough he'd be willing to trade a little more of his blood too.... Not that he could stay out all night of course, what if Little Bear showed up and he wasn't there to let her in?! That would never do, but a few more hours wouldn't hurt, right?
