Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told

How simple and non-descript that little black box was and yet, if Dorian had so come to learn anything off his lover in that near year or so he had known him then, surely, it was that the man had never yet ceased to amaze him in those things he chose to give. The Monarch so eternally delighted to receive any sort of gift after so many centuries without that, truly, Sebastian could surely have presented him with a pair of socks and receive just as much delight in turn. The lid of that box was dually removed to revel that smart leather key chain and too- that singular key that clung to it. Dorian so misinterpreting the gift to be that of the key chain alone. How unfortunate it was he had so few keys to put upon it! The Fae King assured he would enjoy it all the same if only for that sense of modernity it might provide him. After all, he had seen a veritable plethora off such devices since his arrival within the city. Near every being he passed was content to own some sort of key chain and as such the man found himself truly delighted to be amongst them, his gaze settling with inquisitiveness at last upon that single key already attached to it, his features frowning slightly before gesturing towards it- those words of inquiry upon his lips as he did. Dorian so looking to his lover then for some further explanation on just what it might be for.

That it was a key to his lovers very home only saw that glorious grin widen, a distinct sort of warmth seeming to flutter within his chest at being gifted something so wholly intimate in a fashion as the right to come and go from the vampires home whenever he pleased. Sebastian, after all, like himself, was a wholly private being. That home a veritable sanctuary and while he surely came and left it at will already there was something decidedly more about being given a key to it. Their relationship, it seemed, progressing all the more in that singular moment. Dorian hardly anticipated those further words, Sebastian pausing before uttering that, perhaps, rather than simply come and go he might merely wish to live with him. It was the simple shock of those words that saw that grin falter upon his lips. To suggest they might live together as lovers, as two men and unwed was beyond so much of his own understanding. Such a thing was unheard off within his own time. It simply was not done, it did not exist, his mind so struggling to perceive that such a thing- in modern times, might well be allowed and not frowned upon as it once had been. Lovers, after all, even off the more traditional type that so involved a man and woman so rarely shared a home until after they were married. It was the way of things. The order of them. Dorian so utterly taken aback by the idea that in this day and age it might not be so.

That he might be allowed to live with Sebastian was well beyond any hope he had so ever dared to consider a possibility for them, at least, until they had wed. The Fae so finding himself near assaulted with those emotions at this realisation that the world had changed without his awareness once more yet- changed in a fashion that was so decidedly for the better. He was wholly oblivious to the way that smile had fallen from his lips in those few seconds he had taken to considering the implications off his lovers offer and how true glorious it would be. That unsteady thrum to his companion's heart perhaps reminding him that Sebastian surely awaited an answer, the vampire attempting to offer all those reasons of practicality as if Dorian should need any true reason beyond his utter adoration for his boyfriend to take up place within his home! The Fae so finding those utterances endearing all the same. The vampire correct in each of them. Such a move was entirely more practical and yet it was hardly for that practicality that Dorian so finally uttered those words of acceptance- that warm simper returned to his lips as he did.

The sigh of relief that fell from his Consort was hardly missed, amusement tugging at his features before his arms were simply thrown about the vampires neck in that entirely exuberant display of affection. Dorian fully content to display just how taken he was with this idea of living with the man. In sharing a home that was theirs. In so not having to be alone on those evenings, in coming home to a place that was not empty and too- in having another to sleep beside each night. They were, perhaps, simple wants and yet how very much those small things might come to mean! Sebastian fell easily back against those sheets as Dorians lips so determinedly met his own, the vampire holding him against his chest as he felt that brush of his lovers tongue. Dorian all-too willing to part his own lips in response to that unspoken request, that caress of his lovers tongue against his own decidedly pleasurable and by far his favoured of kisses, a soft sound of appreciation stirring within his throat as that kiss only deepened. He could hardly help the way his own form shifted but slightly atop his lover, those further wants coaxed to the surface by that glorious kiss and too the feel of those perfect, hard plains of his lovers chest beneath him and through those far to restricting clothes. Two days without having Sebastian, it seemed, were far too long. The pair content to draw that moment out for several minutes before Sebastian pulled but barely away. Dorian folding his arms atop the man's chest to rest his head upon them in an almost boyish fashion before regarding the man beneath him.

"I think, perhaps, it would be best if we so made that room into a study. I should vastly prefer an Art room but it is so that, I fear, my work might need be priority."

He frowned but slightly in this consideration. The Fae loath to be sensible in any sense and yet, he supposed, Art could be conducted in veritably any space- Dorian a decidedly neat artist- while those reams of paperwork could not. His silver gaze moved to glance but briefly away from Sebastian then to eye his own bedroom. This prospect of moving a terribly exciting one and yet there were precious few things within his own room so worth taking outside off his books and clothing, his ipod and the ipad the palace had given him that so often terrified him entirely. Dorian entirely convinced that 'Siri' was a living being despite Sebastian's assurance she was not. The voice so seeming to know far too much for Dorians liking. Everything else within that home so belonged to Samantha- or it had. The Fae appearing momentarily perplexed.

"There would be little sense in sending the key to Samantha I think. I hardly know where she is gone and this apartment, to my knowledge, was purchased for her by her own lover- but he has since died. It was why she left. I hardly know whom the key belongs to at all I fear. Although- I do know a woman whom was within his pack, they are Weres you see, I believe she is the mate of the mans....I don't really know how it works, his....second in command of sorts? I suppose this belongs to him now unless there was a Will. Either way, perhaps I shall simply give the key to the pack so that they might decide what to do with it?"

He paused, seeking that assurance from his lover that this was somehow a sound plan. One hand reached down at last to that pile of letters still unopened, a single one so catching the Monarchs eye as he reached to grasp it, pausing but momentarily to assure Sebastian hardly minded that he open something addressed to the vampire alone. Dorian quite assured he knew whom this letter was from all the same as he moved to open it- several drawings so clearly done by children tumbling out. That soft chuckle humming within his throat as he handed one to his lover.

"I recognised the address it was from. The children, it seems, have not forgotten you. How could they, when you so introduced them to candy? I'm not sure their Mother's were thrilled."

Where Sebastian had even gotten that candy when in the Palace he hardly knew and yet for each child that appeared the vampire seemed to produce an endless supply of it from within his pockets. Sebastian, he suspected, having taken some sort of pity upon those children born within the palace whom had never seen the outside world until now- much less ever tasted candy. Sugar so seeming to have rather an energizing effect on those miniature Fae. Dorian reaching then for another letter, this one addressed to them both, that warm simper dancing upon his lips.

"To Their Royal Majesties, ah you are royal now too, Mon Cher! I should like to inform you both of the pleasure I took in so being within your presence for your first official appearance early this year..."

Dorian paused briefly, scanning ahead. His lip quirking upward, a soft 'hmm' so falling from his lips as if something within that letter was truly engaging. Dorian at last returning his gaze to his lover beneath him.

"It goes on to say that she wishes us both well and that she thinks we are both quite dashing and that I should probably spend the rest of the night appreciating you."

That it was unlikely that letter surely said such a thing remained to be seen, that paper tossed easily back over his shoulder and onto the bed. His lips returning to fervently to Sebastian's own with that chuckle wholly upon them.
