Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Dorian was entirely assured he did not remember the alarm being this obnoxious. The Fae jolted from his sleep so suddenly he was assured he could feel his heart beat within his chest. The desire to roll right back over and return to sleep so nestled against Sebastian's side was far stronger then he was assured it should have been and yet too- if he returned to sleep now they would surely miss all that had been planned for today. It was with something of a groan that the Monarch reached for his phone upon his bedside table, the little golden device resting atop that rather hefty book Matteo had gifted them with and yet one that Dorian took great delight in reading most evenings before they went to bed or indeed- just after they had woken. There was something truly blissful and utterly glorious in so waking beside his lover each night in that bed that was no longer ever empty. Dorian had come to relish those early evenings in which they lay within those crumpled sheets, their hair still skewed from sleep and he might read those names or places or events so recorded in that book while Sebastian rested beside him- reminiscing upon them else sharing his memories of those things the Monarch had missed. Dorian could not remember a time, not truly, since he had ever been this simply....happy. The Fae so assured that this business of love was by far the most glorious of all things in every sense of the word.

His move from that apartment he shared with Samantha to Sebastian's own lavish mansion had gone entirely smoothly. The pair so seeming to have found a near faultless rhythm with one another. Dorian, for his part, had owned truly few possessions he cared to bring with him. His clothes had fitted easily within that walk-in wardrobe in their bedroom, his heart still content to flutter each time he saw his shirts and jeans so resting beside Sebastian's own. His books had easily found their place on that bookshelf Sebastian had gifted him that rested within his combined office and art space that had once been a spare bedroom. His security detail had easily taken up their new positions outside the mansion and beside those gates, his PA relishing that shorter drive each day to his new home. Indeed, the only downside to his move into Sebastian's home was surely that the Monarch had hardly been inclined to do any true work for that week, Dorian more than willing to allow Sebastian to distract him from his paperwork- much to the disdain of his PA whom, Dorian was sure, had told Benito, whom had requested Geoffrey phone him. The ancient little physician so having informed both Sebastian and himself during that call that spending so much time in bed was surely detrimental to their health and they risked exhausting themselves. A notion Dorian had found entirely amusing and quite assuredly untrue and yet he had so humoured the little man all the same.

His fingers at last managed to sweep across the screen, silencing his phone as he sat up, his silver gaze glancing towards that still sleeping form of his lover. Dorian having spent several days considering just how he might go about waking the vampire. Even Charles and Elizabeth unsure as to how to go about waking the man. Charles so inclined to believe Sebastian might only wake if some danger so threatened and yet, truly, Dorian was hardly inclined to threaten to harm himself merely to stir the vampire from his sleep. The Fae assured this would hardly have pleased him in any sense. His features frowned slightly in contemplation of just these things before he finally rose from that bed, wandering softly from the bedroom, shutting the door behind him before heading downstairs. Dorian had set his alarm for an hour before he intended to attempt to wake his lover, affording the Fae that chance to speak with their security and assure them of their plans, assist Elizabeth in packing a small overnight bag for them to give to Charles to drop at the hotel and too- to make sure he had completed all his own work so that they might have the weekend entirely to themselves and uninterrupted.

It was perhaps unusual foresight upon the Monarch's behalf to so see about the organisation of their day and evening in such a manner, a task usually undertaken by Sebastian and yet Dorian remained assured that for this single day his lover need only focus upon dressing himself and stepping outside that door and into the sunlight. That alone surely a monumental task- one Sebastian remained determined to see through even despite Dorian's attempts to suggest other things they might do to celebrate that anniversary. A part of the Monarch inclined to find his boyfriends determination in this wholly endearing. It took but several moments to speak with his head of security, Elizabeth and Charles emerging a moment later to assure him those bags had been packed and would be dropped at the hotel for them- the manservant proceeding to had him a cup of tea- ushering him to the kitchen bench under the assurance that tea would surely make him feel more awake. Dorian so having come to decide that the English believed tea to be a cure for all things. His fingers flicked lightly across his ipad, Dorian so finally having learned to read emails, Sebastian having spent endless hours attempting to teach him just that function. The Monarch entirely pleased to see his PA had done just as she assured him she would and so cleared all tasks from him for this upcoming weekend. Leaving Dorian with but that single role of waking Sebastian.

The man so drained what remained of his tea in a fashion he was assured Sebastian would have scolded him for, the vampire so often telling him that tea was to be savoured and that he drunk to quickly. Dorian, by comparison, assured Sebastian's tea was undoubtedly cold by the time he finally finished it. It was however, perhaps that very notion of tea that had so prompted an idea within the Monarch, Dorian calling softly for Elizabeth, his gaze so squinting against that midday sun. Ah, but he had forgotten how bright it was! It took but a moment to softly offer the woman that idea and but several more to produce another cup of tea for Sebastian alone- Dorian so carefully carrying it upstairs to their still darkened room. How tempting that bed was! Yet, the Fae was nothing if not determined to see this idea through, that cup of tea and saucer placed upon the nightstand beside Sebastian's still-sleeping form as Dorian crouched down beside him.

"Bastian? Love, you need to wake up."

One hand reached to the man's shoulder, shaking it softly, the vampire failing to stir at all and yet the Monarch had perhaps anticipated as much. Dorian rising once more, silver gaze resting upon the man in further consideration before seating himself upon the bed and beside his boyfriend. The mans hands clapping suddenly together, as if a shock might wake the vampire, only to find him still entirely oblivious. If an alarm had failed to wake the man, along with Dorian so attempting to rouse him by shaking him then it was, he suspected, an effort in futility to continue upon such a course. Dorian nothing if not resourceful. In all that time they had been together there were but a handful of things that so seemed to hold Sebastian's attention entirely. Only one truly accessible to him now. The Fae leaned forward just so, one finger slipped gingerly between Sebastian's lips, seeking that sharpened point of that right fang, pressing his finger upon it until that blood beaded to the surface. That taste, perhaps enough to rouse the vampire and yet- Dorian was hardly done just yet. The Fae King so easily withdrew his finger and- as he had done upon that night they had met- merely allowed it to brush softly across Sebastian's upper lip and just beneath his nose in some effort to seek a reaction. The vampire finally beginning to stir.

Dorian leaned easily away, affording the man several moments to so come to his senses, waiting until some level of recognition seemed to find Sebastian's gaze before that lazy simper traced his own lips. How gorgeous he was when sleepy. Dorian chuckling but softly to himself at the notion, one hand reaching forward in a wholly affectionate manner to brush that dirty blond hair from his lovers gaze.

"You are a truly difficult man to wake, Mon Cher, but it seems I have succeeded. Here, I brought you something to drink, you will feel much better when you do I am sure."

He gestured lightly then to that tea upon the nightstand beside him, Dorian content to give Sebastian a task of sorts lest he fall right back to sleep, the vampire surely awake enough to comprehend that it was hardly just tea within that cup. Elizabeth so having assisted Dorian in drawing some off his own blood to stir within it- if only to further encourage Sebastian into wakefulness. After all, awake and with at least some of his blood within the vampires system Dorian was assured his own affinity would take effect far faster and with far less effort required upon his part. Dorian so already beginning to embrace the vampire with that affinity, slowly encouraging each part of his lover back to life, chasing away that sleep of death, increasing that reach with every sip of tea the man took.

"You may need to take a little more from myself, we shall see, do you feel a little more awake yet, Bastian?"
