Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It was foolish really, that sense of relief that so seemed to afflict him as Sebastian finally begun to stir. Blood, it seemed, did not fail to acquire the vampire's attention even when the man was veritably dead to the world in every sense of the word. His lover had never once failed to wake from that sleep after the sun fell below the horizon and yet, more than once, Dorian had so found himself gripped by a fear- no matter how irrational- that his lover might one day simply remain dead. It was confronting, in a fashion, to so glimpse his lover when the man held no colour at all, no movement, no breath, no response- a part of Dorian so eternally worried that one day the man might not wake up at all. It was an illogical fear, Vampires, like Fae, perhaps the only truly immortal beings that existed and yet to see his lover die each and every day had perhaps, in some way, left the smallest of marks upon his heart all the same. How he wished Sebastian need not suffer that each day! The soft fluttering of his consorts gaze drew a near beaming grin to the Monarch's own lips, his own eyes so readily meeting that dull blue of his companions as the vampire seemed to struggle to remember how and why he had come to be awake- Dorian so affording him those few moments before speaking. That near incoherent mumbling his lover responded with met with a soft chuckle as his fingers pushed aside Sebastian's own tousled hair.

"Then you will surely like your tea."

He responded softly, gesturing again to that cup beside the bed as the vampire sighed, the effort to force his body into compliance so resulting in a distinctly slow attempt to finally lift that cup. Dorian so inclined in that moment to consider that while asleep and indeed in those first few moments after waking a vampire was, surely, one of the most vulnerable of creatures. How different they were beneath the pallor of the moon as compared to the shine of that sun! He waited but several moments then, allowing Sebastian to enjoy his tea and too- for that blood within it to begin to spread about the vampire's body, carrying with it his own affinity in turn. That sudden sound of realisation from his lover so seeing that warm simper return to his own features. His head bobbing softly in assertion to that unspoken question.

"Elizabeth assisted me in creating that tea. She assured me that she had learned to draw blood safely as part of her lessons. I have learned of syringes today and yet I must say it is not nearly as pleasurable as when you do it."

His features frowned if only slightly at that memory, it had hardly truly hurt, more so, there had been no pleasurable sensation to ward off that slight discomfort and yet still- the Monarch had remained impressed with Elizabeth's efforts all the same. Whether or not he had so afforded his lover enough of that substance however remained to be seen. His own affinity beginning to take hold more and more rapidly with each sip Sebastian took and yet those exact amounts required remained a mystery to him still. The vampire assuring him but a moment later that he was surely fine all the same, a momentary look of inquisitiveness so finding its way to his features, his head tilting but slightly. He had after all, brought Sebastian back to life only once before, Dorian so having refrained from asking several off those questions that tugged at his mind then if only to spare his lover any further concern in the wake of the shock he had already suffered. Here and now however, the situation remained distinctly different. His ever-present curiosity so inclining him to query at those thoughts that turned within his mind.

"Bastian. When my power has been used upon you, as now, do you still feel hungry for that blood in any fashion? Forgive my questioning but I am curious as to what else my power might do that I am unaware off."

It was sensible, surely, that such hunger might be removed from the vampire. After all, Sebastian was as alive as himself in those moments. A living being had no need for extra blood in any sense. Each one of Sebastian's systems functioning just as it had the day the man was born, Dorian inclined to wonder if Sebastian's now steadily beating heart had so begun to produce its own blood as it once had. Surely it did. After all, the vampire was blissfully warm now, that hand that rested upon his neck entirely heated, all such idle thoughts cast aside in the wake of that touch of his boyfriends lips to his own in that sinfully sweet kiss that was far too fleeting for Dorian's own liking. A simper dancing upon his features all the same. It was, perhaps, not the exact day of their anniversary and yet that sentiment remained all the same, Dorian was sure. Those words as readily returned as that kiss, his forehead resting gentle against the vampires own in that moment of simple intimacy.

"Happy Anniversary, love."

It was the first anniversary Dorian had ever truly celebrated. His life so having lacked true relationships of the romantic kind until this moment, the man so unable to deny that excitement for such a day that turned within him all the same as Sebastian lent back against that head board. The vampire's body so seemed to have taken up that life with gusto now, Dorian so assuring he was near bursting with life before softly drawing his affinity away. That pale look to his lovers skin had vanished entirely, replaced with that creamy, lively hue just as his eyes had seemed to find a shade of blue so impossibly vibrant that Dorian was wholly struck with how truly striking they were. A part of the Monarch so inclined to almost ache for that life his lover had lost. The Fae quick to brush such thoughts aside, so refusing to taint such a day with them as he shifted upon that bed to position himself in such a way as to abruptly straddle Sebastian's lap, both hands reaching forward to run his fingers through his lovers hair before drawing the vampires lips to his own again in a far deeper kiss then the first. How warm they were! How sweet they tasted! The Fae pulling back just so.

"Mhmm, I am looking forward to a great many things about today- but I fear we need get dressed if we are to partake of any of them. Come along."

He was curious, entirely, as to just how sensitive his lovers figure might be while alive. After all, he knew well that the world itself was far brighter to the man after he had fed, let alone how those touches felt. His own affinity was yet another step above that again. Dorian quite assured he should like to experiment with such a thing entirely and yet, for now, it was those thoughts of the beach that saw the Fae slide softly from the bed. He made his way easily to the wardrobe then, finding those clothes he had chosen the day prior as he slipped from those boxer shorts he so often wore to bed- reaching for that pair of swim trunks and the simple white cotton shirt he moved to button with diligent care. Dorian taking but a moment to examine himself in the mirror. Beach or otherwise the Fae remained wholly determined to appear presentable as he moved to address his hair and to find his own sunglasses, dutifully handing Sebastian that blue pair he had gifted the man in England. Dorian moving to straighten his own collar slightly.

"I have spoken to security about our plans for today, they are refusing to allow us to go to the beach alone but they assure me they will remain inconspicuous. Charles is going to drop us at the beach and then take our things to the hotel and return to pick us up later. Are you ready, Mon Cher?"

He paused a moment longer, his gaze returning to his lover then, the Fae wholly aware that Sebastian was nervous even if he so pretended to be otherwise. Dorian affording him knowledge of that plan for the day if only for the assurance that might come with it, his hand briefly extended to the vampires own then, threading his fingers with his boyfriends before leading the way downstairs and towards that waiting car. Dorian paused then within the doorway as Elizabeth hurried forward to hand him that bottle, the Monarch so offering it to his lover in turn.

"When I first arrived in this city my skin was not used to so much sun I....did not forget how it felt when it became burned. Samantha taught me of this sunscreen, as it is called. Perhaps you might at least consider it?"

Sebastian, surely, knew as to what the use of sunscreen was, Dorian so evidently concerned for his lovers well-being in this. After all, how long had it been since the vampires skin had truly been exposed to sunlight in any real sense? Dorian quite unsure as to what effect it might have on his lover. The Monarch determined to offer that protection all the same as they stood within that doorway, his hand squeezing Sebastian's but briefly then in that simple, subtle reassurance before the Fae King stepped out into that daylight and towards the car waiting within the drive. Dorian turned expectantly then- waiting for Sebastian to step out of the doorway to join him in the sun.
