Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

It was pretty clear to him, as it would be to anyone with sense he was sure, that Stephanie was cheating on Andre with Salvatore. It was like the woman had no clue about Salvatore's real plan or that he was, secretly, Andre's half-brother. Arlo frowned slightly at that television screen as he adjusted his position on the couch, stretching his neck slightly to prevent it from getting cramps despite the fact he'd been lying here for nearly three hours now watching that marathon of terrible television. With neither Mi nor his Little Bear around there was little for the man to entertain himself with this particular evening. He had eaten just the day before yesterday and while that hunger had started to gnaw at him again he was sure he could get away with another night without it. The thought of going outside and hunting seemed like far too much an effort when he could lie inside watching Hopeful Hearts and wasting away his immortality as Sebastian put it. Did it really matter in the end? If he had a veritably endless lifespan then surely he was allowed one night (or fifty) of simply lying on the couch staring at the roof and bemoaning his own existence. He was a vampire right? Brooding was sort of their thing.

That sudden sound of his phone caught the man by surprise, one blue eye rose slightly before he reached beneath himself in some effort to fish it out of his pocket, brushing his finger across that screen. Both eyes widening slightly now at that name that flashed upward. Speak of the devil! Sebastian. That query as to whether he was busy tonight momentarily saw the man consider his own options, the vampire glancing around that empty apartment and the couch he'd failed to get up from for several hours. He couldn't really say he was busy and besides, the prospect of doing something with significantly better than doing nothing. At least to Arlo. He'd owned the night once. Each and every evening filled with people and parties and life. The part of him that had relished that still existed somewhere the idea of company not at all unwelcomed as he text the man back. Particularly if that company might be capable of helping him meet a few more women or helping him crash a party, Sebastian apparently already having a plan for their evening. He paused slightly at that request for his address, a faint hint of anxiety tugging at him at the idea of another vampire knowing where he lived and yet Seb was cool right? Surely it would be alright, the younger man giving it out a moment later before tossing his phone back into his pocket and pulling himself to his feet. He should probably make some effort in the least to....tidy- and put on a shirt.

It was some time later when that knock at the door came, Arlo having managed to wrangle most of his clothing back into his room and hidden from view and yet the apartment looked all the more bare without that 'decoration' those few measly bits of furniture looking distinctly lonely and yet Sebastian had probably already guessed he wasn't exactly rolling in money but the address. The apartment should come as no surprise. Arlo grasped a t-shirt as he passed the couch, pulling it on and over his head before opening the door- only to have something thrust into his arms with the command to carry it. What in the hell was this? If Sebastian though he was building flat pack furniture with him all night he could fuck right off. The other vampire strode readily inside to place another box on the dining room table, Arlo nothing short of baffled as to what was going on. He kicked the door closed behind him as he carried the rest of those pieces in. Sebastian already unpacking his box. Well, someone didn't need to be told to make himself at home. Arlo eyeing what appeared to be a...keyboard? His gaze glancing upward at Sebastian's mention he had a deal for him, Arlo's arms folding across his chest as he lent back against the couch.

"I'm listening bud, although I gotta say, when you said you had a proposal for the evening this wasn't exactly what I was thinking. If you want to be storing stuff at my place I'm probably going to have to charge you."

He gestured lightly to that keyboard as Sebastian continued setting it up. Maybe he might be able to play it while Seb was out, that wouldn't be too bad he supposed, that sudden mention from the other vampire that he would be willing to let him feed readily seeing Arlo's gaze snap upwards in a fashion almost instantons- perhaps giving away just how much sway that offer alone might have over him. The man berating himself inwardly and yet those instincts were still difficult for him to overcome. He'd been able to smell Sebastian since the moment he'd walked in here and yet he'd at least tried not to make it obvious. Still- the idea he might be allowed to feed without having to coax Sebastian into letting him again was undeniably appealing. Even if it came with a request to help the other man write a song- of all things and a chance to keep that keyboard. It looked brand new! Arlo eased himself off the couch to eye that instrument then, one hand reaching out to run across it, the man inspecting it was a practised eye. That gesture bringing him closer to Sebastian in turn. He looked as if he'd eaten fairly recently, that scent of blood fairly potent beneath his skin, Arlo's tongue running subconsciously across his own fangs even if he attempted to appear nothing more than focused on that instrument.

"Song writing was my business for a few years, I can help you there I suppose. I was pretty bloody good at it too, just saying. This keyboard looks new too, did you literally just buy this? I might be interested, what's this catch?"

He glanced upward once more, he was more than interested, help him write a song and he got a keyboard and another taste of that mouth-watering, perfect blood Sebastian alone possessed? What wasn't there to like about that? Arlo merely content to play that part of considering his options, unwilling to appear to over-eager. His features frowning at that announcement he might somehow fall in love with the other man, his lip curling slightly upward in a clear...distaste for the idea. He had half a mind to think the man was having him on, else he had the biggest ego of anyone Arlo had ever met to think he playing was so entirely brilliant Arlo might love him over it. Then again....he had seen what Sebastian did to those women, the way they could hardly keep their hands off him. One hand lifted to run through his own dark hair, indecision clear upon his features now, Arlo groaning out loud.

"Urghhhhh, why do you do this to me? Fine. I'll help you, but if I start getting even a bit gay you have to stop me or reverse it or stop playing or whatever. I get that keyboard too and your blood when we're done. When did you last feed by the way? If I get there and you barely have any blood I'm going to be pissed at you. It smells like you fed pretty recently but it's hard to tell with you because of how good you smell to me in general."

Arlo moved easily past the man now and into the kitchen, fishing his own notepad and pencil from the draw before collapsing back onto that couch, stretching himself the full length of it and positioning himself just so he could see Sebastian all the same.

"Alright bud, first things first, read out what you have so far then tell me what this song is about. What feel are you looking for? What genre? What emotion are you trying to get form people when they hear this? Is it for someone?"
