Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told

Toffee, Dorian had decided, was not at all what he had anticipated it might be. That sweet, rich taste was perhaps entirely expected, Dorian unable to prevent that grin from finding his features as he slipped that sweet treat beneath his lips and yet Sebastian had afforded him no outward warning that such a dessert might be better sucked on rather than bitten into as one did in most cases. That little square near instantly becoming some sort of sticky mess that clung to every part of his mouth! That utter look of surprise upon his features was surely decidedly comical. More than one of those staff members attempting to stifle those grins as the Monarch's tongue flicked across his teeth in an effort to free himself. Dorian quite sure he had never before experienced a substance quite like this in all his life. The things he did for love. Sebastian seeming decidedly entertained by it all the same as Dorian so at last managed to comment on just that chewiness. The Monarch only just barely managing swallow that piece in time to receive that box of wrapped chocolates from the woman, affording her a polite nod before returning his attention to that toffee once more- his hand outstretched for the chance to try another piece as Sebastian pilfered through that back only to produce some sort of....chocolate....pretzel for himself. What a perfectly odd food. Dorian content for now to merely work upon that toffee- and yet, those further thoughts had so managed to find him all the same.

He could hardly help the fashion in which his mind so inclined itself to consider those two familial crests that rested within that chocolate box within his hands. The very nature of those insignias one that had been within his thoughts of late even if he had hardly dared mention as such to his lover. At least- not until his own designs for what would be their veritable shield had been completed enough to afford his lover and idea of just what it might look like. Dorian intending to have Sebastian's approval upon all parts of that work well before he saw to its becoming official. Yet too, how he worried over just what Sebastian might think of it! That wedding sure to bring with it several truly significant changes within their lives, changes the Fae King was determined to introduce to his lover as slowly and gently as possible if only to allow that man he adored time to become used to the idea of becoming Italy's very Prince. Dorian hardly oblivious in any sense to the enormity of such an undertaking and too very pressures that came with such a role- even if Sebastian was yet to truly realise them. That shared insignia a proverbial first step in that direction of what they would become on that day of those nuptials.

That readiness with which his lover so assured him he desired to see just what he had been working on managed to afford the Fae King at least some measure of confidence as that phone was plucked from his pocket, that screen flicked several times to bring those photographs into view before offering them to his Consort. That rather striking silence that followed so very near saw his own heart falter. Nervousness beginning to turn within himself in that singular moment as Dorian eyed his own drawing almost critically once more. Did Sebastian truly hate it that much? Had he drawn that lion so poorly it had robbed his fiancé of all words? The manner in which the vampire reached to slip that chocolate treat from his lips and return it to that bag only further seeing that stone within Dorian's stomach sink all deeper into that pool of worry it seemed to have found. For Sebastian to put down chocolate was almost unheard off. That sudden, anxious fluttering against his own finger momentarily saw the Fae Kings gaze shift away from that phone and to that ring itself, Sebastian's own heart surely betraying him then and yet why on earth the vampire himself was nervous Dorian hardly knew.

It was almost habitually, truly, that fashion in which Dorian reached for his own hand and that ring, tracing his fingers across it as if that very touch itself might somehow ease that worry within Sebastian. Dorian so hardly having considered some of those more potent details of their wedding as Sebastian had and as such, perhaps, had not yet been given any true chance to fret over them- at least outside of that matter of their royal crest and house. The vampires hand lifting to run through his hair before so finally admitting those drawings were lovely, that pause that followed once more finally giving way to that near hesitant admittance that it was his very fear over being forced to give up his families own symbol that seemed to have plagued him. It took several moments still for the Monarch himself to so fully process that very worry and yet it was hardly that worry itself that so seemed to concern him. Dorian, instead, far more concerned with just how long Sebastian had fretted over such a thought without a mere mention of it.

He could hardly blame him he supposed. Not truly. Not when he too was surely guilty of those same worries to some extent and yet what perfect fools they were both capable of being! Dorian's silver gaze at last lifting to the vibrant blue of his lovers own as Sebastian seemed suddenly determined to focus upon that room at large. His lover so very prone to worrying and yet so desperately reluctant to share them- even when prompted. A sigh of sorts at last falling from the other man's lips before his shoulders lifted into that shrug, the Fae awarded with that near non-committal response that said so very little and yet so very much all at once. Sebastian staring almost determinedly at the floor as if it was suddenly the finest floor in all the world. Dorian's own soft sigh drawn from him then, his features softening decidedly all the same.

"Oh, Bastian...."

Those entirely soft words were cut near short as the vampire continued. Sebastian attempting to explain just why his own family seal was so desperately important to him and too, perhaps, why he seemed to fear losing it so much. That promise made surely near over a century ago still holding a sizeable weight with his Consort. Dorian listening intently to that singular tale his lover had never shared before in regards to his own father. The Monarch so hardly finding any silliness in his words at all. After all, whom better to understand then he? Entire royal families were built and sustained upon bloodlines and insignia's and promises- on keeping those assets within those families and beneath those names. Yet too- had he truly expected anything less of that man he loved? Family was near desperately important to Sebastian, his lover hardly the sort of man to break his word- even after several centuries. Dorian's gaze finding his consorts own again.

"Your very commitment to family is but one of those things I adore most about who you are, Mon Cher. I would not ask you to change anything. I only wish you had told me sooner that you were so worried."

His own head shook slightly then, Dorian further elaborating on just those words and those very reasons why there was surely no need in any sense to replace Sebastian's family crest with their own. Those homes, those business, uniquely his own and so separate from the crown and royal household. The matter of their names one that still needed decision and yet that new insignia in the least merely one for Italy and the world to recognize in turn. Sebastian seeming to near visibly relax in the wake of those assurances. Dorian pausing only to fish that beloved coin from beneath his shirt. That metal warm from the place it so eternally rested against his skin as he near cradled it within him palm with that simple assurance that he was rather fond of it exactly as it was. That warm simper readily found his lips then, Sebastian's own so suddenly seeming to have returned as the vampires fingers reached out to trace his jaw, Dorian readily anticipating that kiss before it came- his lips easily finding Sebastian's own. How foolish it surely was that after all this time those sweet kisses still had a way of spreading that warmth within him, that mere taste off his lover combined with that affection delighting him each and every time. Each and every worry he might have ever had on anything seeming to evaporate for just that moment. The kiss returned with equal fervour before Sebastian pulled slightly away to offer those words. That grin upon Dorian's own lips only widening.

"You're entirely welcome. I knew it would be something you enjoyed and I like to surprise you sometimes. I know too, there is much we will need to talk of in preparation for our wedding but I am entirely sure there is nothing we cannot work out together, try not to fret love."

He shifted slightly forward once more, his lips stealing but another soft kiss from the vampire then before his gaze shifted to watch upon his lover's wrist. That near impish look returning.

"I suppose we ought to return to the car if you wish to see the second half of our evening though. Come on."

He shifted but slightly then, easing from that lounge only to hold his hand to Sebastian, affording the vampire several moments to gather up his chocolates. Dorian pausing to thank several of those staff members and too that head chef once more before leading them back out and onto that street. The car no more than a few steps from that door, allowing them to slip easily inside without attracting the attention of any others. Dorian nestling himself within that plush leather seat once more as the car pulled away from the curb. The Monarch daring to pluck another chocolate from that bag while Sebastian fussed with his seatbelt, the man not at all assured what he had pilfered and yet he was inclined to try it all the same. His attention upon his Consort once more as he slipped it between his lips, the man content to speak of that wedding again then and yet this topic a surely less stressful one, if only for that lack of decision it so required from either of them.

"On this very note of our wedding though I can at least assure you the palace finally found a wedding planner. Apparently we still need to approve those finer details as they are arranged, things like colours and music and seating but the majority of that organising will be done for us, in the least. I've also been told we need to start at least thinking of our guest's lists. Emma has begun to hassle me about mine profusely, she will be on to you soon too- if you're not careful. You have been sufficiently warned."

That teasing look so managed to find him once more, that soft chuckle rising within him. His Personal Assistant, brilliant though she was, was near infamous for the manner in which she became decidedly....persistent over matters she deemed important. Dorian himself having very near lost patience with her on several occasions. A decided feat, given the Monarchs truly placid demeanour. That near quizzical look touching his features then, his head tilting slightly as that new inquiry so occurred to him.

"Have you thought of anyone specifically that you might like to invite yet?"
