Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Fear wasn't unknown to him, but it was never of anything physical. He got scared when it came to emotions. He was really insecure. He was just good at hiding it most of the time. He'd learned how to handle rejection at any early age so he learned not to get too attached to anyone. When he really liked someone though, those insecurities only grew and the acceptance of rejection disappeared. He was shy around girls he liked, Katherine Deegle in high school a prime example. He would only look at her for certain periods of time before he deemed it creepy and would find something else to look at. He NEVER talked to her, except maybe to say hi in an offhand manner as he walked by on days he was feeling brave. He sat behind her in class and day dreamed about them dating but never thought it would come to anything. Something about dropping out of school and getting out in the real world more brought some confidence to him that he was sorely lacking. Only then did he get the courage to ask Katherine out. And she said yes, surprisingly. He didn't know if he would ever get the courage to make a move on Adelaide, a real move anyway. She was so foreign and exotic and beautiful and smart. She was everything he wasn't. He felt like he was at the peak of his insecurities with her.

Yet every time he looked in her eyes, he knew something was there. He didn't know what yet but he knew there was definitely something there. As she moved to the stairs, she told him sooner rather than later on having another breakfast together and he smirked in response. "I hope so." He murmured back, almost too low for her to hear. As he headed outside to stand by Townsend, he was pleasantly surprised to have the company of Reginald at his side. He reached out even as he asked Townsend what he wanted him to start on first, his hand automatically finding that place to scratch that he knew Reginald liked. Townsend told him to fix the lattice with tools from the shed then to work on the hedges. He nodded. "Sure can, boss. I'm on it." Giving Townseld what he hoped was a winning smile, he made his way to the shed. He turned his head though as he heard Townsend talking to someone, his brow rising in surprise to see none other than Adelaide sitting in a chair with a book. He was asking her if she wanted to read inside where it was warmer. Her response made him chuckle as he opened the door and went inside to gather some tools. Finding all that he needed, he slipped on a tool belt and gathered them up in the different slots and pockets before he headed to the lattice.

He turned his head as he crouched in front of the lattice, only to see that coy smile on her lips that coaxed a charming smirk of his own to life. His eyes seemed to sparkle with new life as he started hammering and moving pieces back into place. He was no perfectionist by any means but he did take pride in his work. He didn't start working on another piece until he was satisfied with the placement and stability of the piece before it. He worked his way down the lattice like this until it was good as new. Standing back to look at his handiwork, he turned to where Townsend was preening the plants. "Now all this thing needs is a new coat of paint. Task for another day?" He moved back toward the shed, wiping his brow as he went. He was already starting to kick up a little bit of a sweat from the tedious work the lattice had offered. The back of his shirt was starting to get wet but it wasn't quite enough to take it off just yet. He was a little hesitant of it as it were if only because of Adelaide's presence. That probably wouldn't have even bothered him if not for the shared presence of Townsend.

He hung the tool belt up, taking a quick cursory sweep of the shed itself. It could do with a good cleaning itself. Then he could organize it where he could find everything at first glance. He grinned at the idea before finding what he was looking for, a manual hedge trimmer. A little disappointed that it wasn't gas or electric, he shrugged it off and headed back out the door. Taking a deep breath as he surveyed the hedges, he went to work at it, preening and trimming them to perfect angles. He pulled out the longer branches, making a neat pile behind him. He wiped his brow a few more times, his shirt getting more wet by the minute as he worked at it till he could stand back and survey his work once more. "Not too shabby." He mumbled to himself. His gaze found Townsend. "What's next, boss man?"
