Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I Want to Go There

My goodness it felt so good to finally eat something other than my fruits and vegetables. This pheasant was actually cooked fairly well. Game meat wasn't my favorite, but I could live with this. While the Hartfords continued to prattle away I decided to sneak in a great amount of helping of mash potatoes, drizzling it with gravy. As I began to scramble every bit of food in my mouth I pause when out strange guest inquires further about my name and family. Puzzled, and a bit offended, I stare at him for a moment swallowing my food. Because heaven forbid I talk with food in my mouth. I mean my God I am sure Mrs. Hartford would stop this whole scenario and take the time to focus on my inability to chew my food properly without anyone getting a glimpse at the bits in my mouth. I mean come on! The conversation going around was far more important and greatly intense â€"really how I eat should be the very last thing on their mind. I do find it odd though that the Hartfords actually sound concerned with this stranger's questioning. I mean they haven't really shown any sort of care for me before. Really they must be up to something.

It isn't surprising to me that Mr. Hartford is being so very defensive using order to dominate and control this blonde stranger. I mean he used that on me all the time. Always he would threaten to contact Child Protective Services about me or one of the many lawyers. I'm not sure why they need the lawyers, but I really don't need CPS on my ass. I can't give them any reason to think that I cannot live with these people. Somewhere along the lines CPS has the right to take me away from this home if I am not being well, which I think is back ass backwards. Aren't the Hartfords supposed to be judged for their inability to not take care of me?! I guess money can influence anyone. Im actually quite impressed that the Hartfords are so well astute of my family's history which I find extremely troubling. I mean I know they were always within my parent's fold, my parents could never turn down anyone â€" even if they were unpleasant, but I didn't think they would be able to have such information. I mean I always knew my family was just small. Going out to visit the relatives was such a rare treat because apparently a lot of them were dead for one trivial reason or another. Yet just because we had such a small family didn't mean we didn't make the most of it â€" family came first â€" no matter what. And boy do I mean no matter what.

When a light bulb above exploded I actually jumped in my seat from the sudden shock. I've never seen a light do that before and I can now feel all the hairs on my body begin to stand up. Nervous I looked over to my left and I could feel such a powerful energy pulse coming from Azrael. While he reads over the paperwork and proclaims I belong to him I instantly get up from my seat. I've been quiet throughout this whole ordeal and I think it is about time I say something. My long lost 'Uncle' as he claims to be suddenly appears while I've been stuck with the Harfords and all of this is going down before I turn 18. 18 is such a powerful age â€" I'll legally be adult and out of the Hartfords control. I will be in charge of my parent's fortune, whatever is left if the Hartfords hadn't spent it all, and I will be dammed to have a 'relative' try to take me in before I turn. If he is thinking that I will reward him he has another thing coming. I slam both hands on the table not caring that the dishes and silverware jumped or the shriek Mrs. Hartford gives. I take a step back and away from Azrael not trusting him one bit. My voice carries a firm tone to it, my lyrics clipped with growing frustration, as I place my hands on my hips.

"Hold on just a second...we're family? How could you be my Great Uncle? My parents and relatives never mentioned you."

I never trusted the Hartfords and I don't see a reason to trust this 'Great Uncle' of mine. Someone needs to prove that someone is actually on my side, for my benefit alone - not their's.
