Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

There was a difference, a significant difference, in picturing what someone looked like naked (and he'd done that a hell of a lot with Abigail) and actually seeing them. Those yips and barks the Panda had offered him before she made her way into his bedroom were met with little more than a blank stare. Arlo oblivious, in that moment, to her command that he stay outside. The vampire simply inclined to linger at that doorway if only to err on the side of caution all the same. At least until Abigail's voice came from the room within, insisting that necklace had been given to her by another vampire. It was one thing to have someone else flirt with his girlfriend. It had happened before and hell, why wouldnt it? Abigail was, well, stunning, not that she seemed to truly realise just how she looked. Yet there as something somehow ...worse about another vampire showing any kind of interest in his girlfriend. It crossed a line. Somehow. A vampiric territorial line that their species simply understood even if others didn't. Hadn't this other vampire been able to smell him on her? Had they just gone on ahead gifting her jewellery anyway? That irritation rose within him quire before he could truly think, the near casual way in which Abigail mentioned it, as if hardly realising the seriousness of this faux pas prompting Arlo to near barel into that room with a demand for a further explanation and the name of whoever the hell it was who thought they could go about giving his girlfriend things.

He had hardly anticipated that utter lack of clothing. That necklace and too, that other vampire, all but forgotten in the wake of her nude figure before him. She was so.....wow. His blue gaze lingered upon every line and swell and curve of her femanine figure, the vampire near committing it to memory as his eyes roved slowly up her figure. Neither of them, in that moment, seeming at all capable of words. That very desire struck him sharply then. That want for ...everything she had to give tugging at his throat and loins all at once. His jeans entirely inclined to feel far more restrictive than they had only moments ago and yet in that moment he hardly cared. God she was so ...perfect. If only she'd let him just.....touch......maybe. Abigail lunged for the pillow upon his bed then, the girl hurriedly attempting to cover herself before launching a second pillow at himself, those vampiric reflexes, in that moment, all that allowed him to near dumbly capture that softly flying object. That very action, in the least, seeming to jolt some return of his senses as Abby's near frantic voice resounded within the room demanding that he was supposed to stay outside.

"I couldn't understand you! I didn't know when you shifted that your clothes like....i dunno....fucking evaproated or.....got left behind or......whatever it is happens to them!"

His own hands lifted hurriedly to his eyes then, that other pillow dropped to the floor as he near whirled to face the wall before making some effort to reach that wardrobe with his back turned toward her. Arlo hardly having missed that flush of colour that had burned to her cheeks in sheer embarrassment. Great. This was totally not how he'd planned to see her for the first time. Although then again he certainly wasn't about to wish that he hadn't. Arlo's gaze remained firmly on that wardrobe then as he attempted to find...something for her to wear within. That t-shirt, jeans, boxers and hooded jacket handed to her over his shoulder then as Abby managed to gently take them. The vampire attempting to make his way out of the room then before shutting the door behind him. That image of her naked still burning near hotly within his mind right along with that image of her clutching that pillow to her femanine figure in her embarrassment. God she was hot. Arlo moved to lean back agianst the wall beside the door then, the vampire so struggling to gather his own...desires together as one hand lifted to run through his hair. This was.....a big deal for her. She was so, well, innocent about that sort of thing. Arlo content to remind himself several times over that Abby was probably far more embarrassed then she'd even appeared. Right. He could fix this. That apology managed to find his lips then. Abigail's voice little more than a squeak from the other side of the door as she assured him she was okay- in the least reassuring voice ever. Maybe he should try a different tactic.

That very insistence that she'd looked hot, compliment though it was, had perhaps not been the ideal words to offer her then and there as that bedroom door opened a crack. Abby managing another nervously started word and yet she hardly opened that bedroom door any wider. Alright. This wasn't going exactly as he'd planned. She was dressed now though right? Arlo moved to lean away from the wall then, the vampire turning back towards his bedroom door to eye that tiny crack Abby was still peering out off.

"Babe, are you going to come out now?"

Whether or not he was actually going to manage to coax her from that room at all he hardly knew. That boyish grin so managing to find its way to his features all the same in some effort to, well, not appear so ...terrifying? Then again, it was hardly as if he could forget what he'd seen, they both damn well knew that.

"Why don't I go sit on the couch and you can just come out when your ready?"

He moved to step away from the door then, Arlo smoothly crossing the room to seat himself on the couch, his back to that bedroom door in some hopes his further ...not looking might somehow coax the Panda from within the depths of his bedroom. Maybe this ...wasn't a great time to talk about them moving in together if he wasn't even allowed to see her naked. Was looking not even allowed? Hell, if looking wasn't allowed touching sure as hell wasn't about to be was it? God he had so many questions. Damn her breasts had been so nice. The soft sound of feet on the floor at least assured him Abby had, finally, left the room. Arlo, for now, keeping his gaze ahead as if fearing turning around might send her running back.

"I really am sorry, Ab's. I meant to stay outside, I know the whole naked thing is a big thing for you and I didn't mean to embarrass you or anything. When you said some other vampire gave you that necklace I got kinda ...you know.....vampire-y. Not at you. I'm not upset at you at all. I just don't like the idea of other vampires hanging around you. Do you...want to tell me what happened with the necklace now? I need to run something by you after that."

He could hardly tell her who she could or couldn't hang out with. It was ...her life after all and yet those possessive instincts were...damn potent. God, Sebastian had never mentioned how hard it was to appear, well, like a normal fuckign person when he wanted to be ...angry at this other vampire giving things to his girlfriend. Arlo's gaze shifted sideways then as Abby so finally came into view, the woman dressed in little save his hoodie, his boxer shorts peeking out from beneath the bottom of the jacket. Christ. Had she any idea what she looked like!? God she was hot in that outfit. How very ...just fucked it looked. EVen if that was hardly what had happened at all. Maybe now was the perfect time to run that idea by her. Maybe she'd move in right now. In that. The blue of his gaze shifted readily to her own then, Arlo making room on that couch for Abby to sit beside him. That desire to touch her almost overwhelming and yet, for now at least, Arlo kept his hands entirely to himself. That small simper finding his lips.

"I've been thinking, maybe, if you want, that you might consider us moving in together? Maybe getting our own place, not this place, this place is terrible. Something better. We've been together awhile now, we spend most of our time together as it is. I can still knock before coming into the bedroom too if that helps."

That simper upon his lips widened a little more with that amusement, Arlo almost certain that knocking, in future, could prevent any more of those ...accidental...viewings. Even if he was inclined to play it over and over within his mind for the rest of....forever. The man so attempting that humour all the same.

"It just kind of seems the next step, don't you think? If your really not ready for it, its fine but I think we'd be fine living together. Can we....do that? Or do we have to be married before we can live together too?"
