Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I'm searching for something that I can't reach

Sad eyes, mouth full of white lies

I... I should look for a new job.

Blake thought to himself as he flipped the page back over so he could stare at the numbers on the page again. He had been staring at the same two pages for the last twenty minutes (no exaggeration) without actually reading or retaining anything written on the pages. They belonged to a series of folders that remained unread, which those folders belonged to a larger series of binders that also still needed to be read and organized. In turn, those binders all belonged to a large project that he was supposed to be working on yet had barely started since he could not bring himself to focus on the documents because they were about as exciting as watching grass grow. Naturally this project was due next week in its entirety. Maybe he would just quit... That would be a douche move, though. Just a big, hey I know you need this turned in but fuck you.

Sinking low in the office chair with an exaggerated groan, he scowled at the seemingly unending pile of work he needed yet did not want to do. It just seemed to get bigger and bigger the longer he stared at it, like one of those trick hallways where the door to escape just seemed to get further and further away. Before he had the opportunity to torture himself over the work even more, he heard the doorbell ring. He stared in the direction of the front door, brow furrowed slightly. He couldn't recall inviting anyone over... Did he order take out and forget again? He tossed his pen on the desk before hopping up, deciding to embrace the brief escape that would quickly turn into a nice long session of procrastination.

Look! I brought pizza!

Blake stood there, surprised to see Claire on his doorstep, with a pizza no less. He failed to respond for a moment before a wide grin crossed his face as his brain caught up from its haze. Still, he was surprised she was here after the disastrous walk home. Though really, the walk was fine. It was like the after-walk part that was a disaster once blondey popped in.

"And you have shoes!" He teased as he took the pizza from her, holding the box up high over her head as he ushered her inside. You know, now that she was here, he wasn't sure if he ever got his shirt/coat back from her. Did he? It seemed forever ago and he really had no idea. Should he ask... Nah, he had a pizza to eat.

"What are you doing here, stranger?" Blake made his way to the kitchen, curious but happy to see her. She looked well enough, even like she's had a decent meal or few since he had last seen her.
