Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

kissing death and loosing my breath
The young witch's intense gaze never once left the figure of the lupine creature despite the fashion at which she shrank away from her gaze. She ignored the whimper the left the woman's lips just as she too ignored the wounded-dog demeanor that Raven seemed to exude. In truth, Serafina had never much cared animals enough to be particularly phased by the act. She had always been the 'put the dog out of it's misery' type rather than the 'spend thousands of dollars on a surgery to try to save it' kind. It was a trait that was rather obvious in times such as these. One manicured eyebrow rose ever so slightly as Serafina listened to the words that were spoken towards her, a soft snort left her nose and slowly her gaze drifted towards the window. Her head shook from side to side ever so slightly in a clear display of both disbelief and aggravation as the woman continued and yet she hardly bothered to interrupt. On the contrary, Serafina remained deathly silent throughout the woman' speech, fully giving her the opportunity to explain her actions on their last few encounters. Once Raven was finished, the witch allowed a moment of silence to collect her thoughts. She was rarely one to speak out of anger, instead letting those emotions fester just long enough to ensure that she meant every action she did and every word she spoke.

"Do you think I'm daft? Seriously Raven, are you that blind to have failed to miss the fact that he kissed me? What part of that did not hint to you in some fashion that he might actually like me? But rather than actually pausing to consider that you decide to almost kill him and throw me across the room like a fucking rag doll. I'm not your plaything to use your powers on whenever you want. Nor will I buy the excuse that you're still constantly oblivious to what's going on around you when even I can see that Azrael has his own mixed feelings about me.It's hard for me to want to be around when you when you attack people who care about me and then give me some shit excuse for it." She paused, inhaling long enough to regather and redirect her now wayward emotions. Her tone shifted from being laced with rage to a more steady, nearly professional tone "Look, Raven, if we're going to even try to make whatever this is work out, you need to pause long enough to consider my feelings before rushing in some battle to 'protect' me. I need to learn how to fight my own fights. I've tried to be friendly and considerate to the people in your life, the very least you could do is be respectful while I try to figure out my own relationships. I deserve that at the very least regardless of whether or not we've friends or just familiar and witch."

Why the otherworldly powers had seen it fit to bind the pair of women together was beyond the witch's ability to understand. They were different in every aspect of each other. Serafina knew the age old saying that opposite attracted. Hell, she and Azrael himself were by all aspects of nature supposed to be pitted against each other and yet they managed to work out. However she wasn't sure that her relationship with her familiar would have quite the fairy tale ending. Raven had so much that meant to her, so many places she needed to be and people she needed to be with and Serafina failed to see how she fit into this perfect picturesque world.
