Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Oddly enough I've never been more excited to get off a plane in the states. Usually travel is what I do and I enjoy it. I've never liked staying in one place too long. Of course I've always managed to stay unattached before Sacrosanct sunk its dirty little claws in me. Of course, I know Sacrosanct has nothing to do with it and the man who gets the rare honor of calling me his girlfriend has everything to do with it. I've never been one to look for a relationship. Men were beneath me and the work I do. They were mere distractions and nothing more. And yet somehow Kohl has managed to become so much more.

I don't know how he managed to slither his way into my mind and further ore, into my inpenetrable heart but somehow he did the impossible. Not like we've dared to utter the forbidden words or anything of the sort but somehow they've actually managed to cross my mind a time or two. Kohl, of course, isn't about "talking" when it comes to feelings and such which is perfectly fine by me. He's much more about the physical aspects of how someone feels. I was pure and untainted before I met him in that park and I probably still would be today if he hadn't somehow convinced me to keep him in my life. Finding out he was a hunter himself only made things more complicated but he's different.

A reluctant hunter, for one. He's not about the heroics of the job and actually fighting to save people. He wasn't trained the way I was. He's more a behind the scenes sort of guy, a wiz with electronics and the like. I once saw where he'd torn wires from all kinds of different trinkets and made tracking chips for cell phones of the supernatural. He also made chips that could record a phone call and give hunters valuable information. It would be a blatent act against privacy as well but who cares, right?

I collect my things and catch a cab to Kohl's place, knowing he would rather die than stay a day in my humble abode. While cozy in its own right, Kohl has never had a liking for my apartment. Not enough furniture and far too many cracks in the floor from his point of view. I find my lips crinkling into a mischeveous smirk the closer I get to his house, wondering how he'll like the surprise. When I talked to him yesterday, I assured him it would be at least another week. I could sense his unwillingness to go along with it but he had no other choice. I had a mission from the council and I had to see it through. But things took a rapid turn last night and I got the first flight back that I could, more eager than I would ever let on to be back in his arms and his bed by the next afternoon. Lord knows he'll still be sleeping by then, after all.

As I step from the cab, I head to the door, waving off the driver from grabbing my bags since I have a high distrust of most people in any respect, let alone a guy who couldn't even put on his turn signals at every turn. I use my expert lock picking skills to get me in, shushing the maid with a single finger to my lips since she knows well who I am by now. Her eyes widen and by the look of the bat in her hands, she was looking for a burgler to fight but tonight she's in luck and I sense the instant relief by the fold of her brows as she tip toes back to her chores. Setting my stuff in the front room, I step lightly as air to his room, shaking my head knowingly at the dim lighting. He is indeed still snoring away in his bed, the lazy bum. And so I can't help myself, flinging myself onto the bed with the shout of a banshee bellowing from my lips.

Take that, city boy.
