Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

sharp objects make me giddy

I do have to admit, the whole grabbing a lamp thing is a definite improvement from when I first met him. Before, he might have just, I don't know, shrieked like a girl and jumped up to clutch at his blankets or something. But the way he looks now, all just woken up with bright eyes and bed head...I don't deny its incredibly sexy. He's not the only one feeling the distance between us the past few months nor the absence of being able to touch each other and unlock other urges. I feel myself squirming where I sit even as he moves back to the bed and pulls me to him.

I am well aware that I'm one of the few to see him like this and I love it. Most women would have been chased out last night before he got all vulnerable in sleep. But I get to see every side of him and I couldn't be more thankful for that. At the same time, I'm still self conscious about my own disarray when I sleep over but I was starting to get used to it before I left. Now I may have to go through it all over again. But right now I could care less. I know I made myself all pretty on the plane over and I know I look drop dead.

I tease him about the bed and he responds with a chuckle before assuring me that the bed hasn't made up for my absence. I poke my bottom lip out in a fake pout. "Well I guess we'll have to make up for that absence at some point. The bed might have to be included though." I raise a brow teasingly. The sudden touch of his lips behind my ear draws a soft moan from my my own lips as I lean my head back, closing my eyes to savor the experience. I've missed this. All the doubts and insecurities I felt while gone melt away in his embrace and I know by the sensations running through me that he hasn't touched another woman, at least not like this, in a long time. I can feel it in the hunger in his touch and right now I'd be all too happy to oblige.

His sudden question has my eyes flying open as I straighten back up on the bed and sigh, tilting my head. "The Council wouldn't tell you, I presume? They sent me to South America, Santa Cruz, Bolivia, to be exact. There was a war between fairy groups there and they weren't taking it easy on the humans. One settlement was in flames, another stuck in another dimension, and the third...well, everyone was a ghost. Obviously, the humans involved were frightened and spreading panic so they decided to send a member of the council to control the damage. I had a few other hunters with them, none of them very useful, but I think we managed to get something accomplished. It took a lot longer than expected but I couldn't come back and ruin my reputation." I poke out my lip again. "You forgive me?"

I'm sure I will be but just for good measure, I add in a nice little shimmy while on his lap, just enough to add the right kind of friction to my question.
