Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The topic of creators was hardly a peculiar one within the vampiric circles in which the Vampire had once become so engrossed within upon his native country's shores. They were, at times, a status right within themselves. The children of such historical greats were so often regarded with the same awe and wonder as their makers too would. Misfits like Sebastian, however, were beset upon the outside of such circles, meant to struggle to maintain their gripping within that ancient court of sorts. It was not much unlike his own life within the world of Queen Victoria and yet, finally he had a name to give to that blonde child with bright blue eyes. The truth of her, however, was hardly much better than that shrug he had once provided them. He was aware, to some degree, that glimpse of astonishment that had crossed his lover's features at the very thought of the woman who had so turned him into the creature he was today. After all, such talk was decidedly personal and surely not appropriate for any such relationship as this. His entire duty, or so he believed, was to be the epitome of charming and enjoyable, not to dwell upon things which, he was beginning to realize, could not be changed.

His attention, however, remained entirely steadfast upon his companion beside him, the fae King's words clearly catching the vampire off guard. Oh if only Dorian knew the horrors of waking up surrounded by corpses with such an overwhelming thirst. How utterly terrified he had been at what he had become. How alone he was, though really he had always been relatively alone within the last two hundred years of his life, the souls within his world but fleeting momentary efforts to placate those human and other desires. But no - now was hardly the time for such self-pitying thoughts and so, rather than offer any such glimpse of his former life, Sebastian merely offered his companion the same indifferent shrug he found himself providing so many times to so many before at any such topic of his birth into the eternal afterlife. That nearly subtle brush of Dorian's shoulder against his once again drew the vampire's attention, too reminding him of their nearly public position. Still, a warm simper was brought to the man's tired features in an effort to reassure the King that he, and too everything that so fraught his mind, was entirely fine - the thoughts pushed far back into the recesses where they belong to pay attention only to the evening ahead.

Thankfully, their arrival onto the sidewalk only further served to conclude his own dismal tale, the Englishman entirely content to slide into the darkened vehicle beside his companion. Although, at first, he was perhaps too bothered with his own thoughts to notice, there was a certain intimacy within the back seat of the town car. The windows were entirely tinted, the light from the street lamps in turn subdued and perhaps, for the first time that night, Sebastian felt himself relaxing within the presence of his lover. He was, as much as he hated to admited, far more comfortable with the scenarios they had so often engaged within rather than the talk of emotions that had, tonight, at least, so plagued them. His name, however, and the inquiry that followed were entirely unexpected and yet, the vampire hardly hesitated to offer the possibility that when the time came for his inevitable return home, Dorian might be capable of accompanying him if he was so inclined to do so. A small, nearly bemused simper crossing the corners of his lips and slowly, the vampire nodded. He was, at least, all too aware that such an invitation crossed the boundaries of what was deemed acceptable between a King and his escorts. After all, the royalty never would so venture to join any of their fleeting interests on such a trip and yet....still he found himself offering that which he had given no one. Even his own wife had never seen the halls of Belton in their altogether short marriage.

Dorian's agreement, however, to a decidedly modern trisque was greeted with that same warm and altogether pleased look upon the Englishman's features. "Then when the time comes, I will see to the arrangements for both of us." It was, perhaps, a promise of sorts, one of the many that Sebastian found himself making in the presence of the fae and yet, he was determined to see through each of those solemn commitments to the man, no matter how grand they were. His own words, however, were entirely soft as the vampire admitted, to some degree, that he was surely more infatuated with his companion then any societal rules might allow him to be. No, within him there was an undeniable infatuation for Dorian, one he had hardly attempted to quench as it had so swelled. Those emotions hardly tarried, growing only further still in that time he had spent apart from his home. His crystalline gaze was so entirely settled upon his lover, watching the way in which Dorian's own eyes momentarily lingered upon the glass that so separated them from the darkness beyond. Sebastian was hardly oblivious to that thoughtful look at crossed Dorian's features, simply waiting with infinite patience as he peaced together those words.

For a moment, the vampire was decidedly still, even at the genteel brush of Dorian's flesh upon his hands. It was peculiar, the way such a simple sentence could so make him feel. The truth of the matter so often was that the monarch was the last thought upon his mind before sleep stole away his conscious and too the first in the pale light of the moon. It was a shame that the sun should steal not only his own existence, but too those further affections he might have been afforded. "Dorian, you know, that you do not have to leave when the sun rises. Though I imagine staying would be terribly dull." It was, perhaps, the truth of the matter. So much of his life was taken from him. Still, Sebastian hardly lingered long upon that which he was incapable of fixing, instead reaching down to pluck a small box from his treasure trove of gifts before too handing it towards his companion. It was, after all, what one did when leaving loved ones behind - they brought back gifts. Why Dorian's position might keep him from this simple joy seemed altogether silly. He watched in silence as the fae unwarped the box, taking from it the gold one that so matched the black one within his pocket.

Sebastian found himself entirely unable to stop the chuckle that left his lips, the vampire quite literally waving off this concern altogether before reaching over towards the button on the side. "I know, I had intended to show you, do you see this? Press it. It will cause the screen to light up." He paused, pulling his own phone out of his pocket to place it on his lap next to his companion. He waited until the screen displayed the home page before pointing at the small envelope at the bottom. "See this? Tap it." He fully intended to simply walk the fairy through each step, letting the man do it if only to allow him to get used to the process. "There's my name, tap that..." He waited for a moment till they'd gotten to the place he had wanted them to be. "Think of this like...sending and receiving mail instantly, without waiting for servants to travel any distances. All you have to do is tap the letters to spell out what you want and then press the send button and..." With a certain level of deftness, his fingers swiped across the screen, typing the simple words 'hello' before glancing at his own screen. He showed the screen of his own phone to his companion, showing him Dorian's message flash across the front of his own phone. "....I receive it instantly. This way - no matter where in the world I am, Dorian, you can always get in touch with me." His bright blue eyes glanced up at his companion finally, attempting to judge the ancient King's thoughts on such a device, to see not only if he understood it but too the emotions that accompanied something as subtle as this. After all, there were very few that even had Sebastian's phone number - Dorian the first of any such lovers to do so and yet he so wholly liked the thought of the man being able to always find him.
