South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

In the silence of the van, I take a look down at myself, not sure what I'm going to say. Nothing any of the animals I've come across have told me has prepared me for this feeling. My skin is smooth and soft like silk. I notice that something's missing but it doesn't really bother me as I thought it would. When I've seen humans, they have fabric draped around their body, hiding most of them from view. I watched the deer creature turn human and he automatically had the clothing on. I guess you have to learn that or something because I don't have a stitch on. It does give me a better view of myself though.

I look myself completely over, mesmerized by all the different angles. Without fur, I can see everything. I can also feel everything. It's so freaking cold! I wrap my arms around myself. When I shift I cry out, another whimper falling from soft lips, no longer lined in fur. Oh yeah, my leg. I grasp the leg, looking at the arrow still sticking through it. Stupid bastard. My lips curl and I clench my teeth as I grasp the arrow and break off the tip, screaming as it shifts the arrow still inside me. I'm breathing hard and it feels odd not to be panting with my tongue lolling out the side of my mouth. I try it for a few seconds but it doesn't feel refreshing anymore, just odd.

Grasping the other end of the arrow, I clench my teeth and yank it out of my leg, screaming again as I immediately grasp for some cloth, a shirt or something thrown on the ground and I start wrapping it around my leg, breathing through clenched teeth as I pull it as tight as I can. I know I've got to get the bleeding to stop. Usually I would just lick it clean and try to hold some kind of pressure on it but something tells me that's not what humans do. I have no clue what a human would do. I end up huddled in the back of the van, knees pulled to my chest as I hug them to me, trying to keep myself warm. What am I so cold?

When I hear the latch opening on the door to the van, my lips curl back instinctively and I growl. The man I see when the door swings open doesn't look like a hunter. He acts like he's trying to help me escape, telling me to come on before the men come back. I continue to growl for a few seconds but I'm watching him and so far I don't see anything that says he's trying to lure or trick me. I still rely heavily on instinct so I go with it, slowly unwrapping my arms so I can rush to the doors and leap out. I whimper again when I land on the bad leg, holding it up a little and hopping to the side as I turn to look back at him, eyes narrowed.

"You even think about hurting me and I'll kill you." I say softly through clenched teeth. It must be a sight to see for someone, an angry young woman with tousled wild hair, completely nude, threatening a man. Finally I turn on my heels and start to hobble away, though I have no idea where I'm going. I bite my bottom lip, fighting back a sudden feeling of...horror? Panic? Confusion? Where am I supposed to go now? I can't just run back into the woods like this. Ceasar would attack me. He wouldn't even know it's me. I stop, my head down.

"Um...can you take me somewhere? I don't know where to go..."
