South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

South
i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

It was an unspoken agreement between herself, her mate, and Alexis. They would spend most of their time in the Ark and only leave when necessary. With Tetradore's death came weeks of depression and it weighed heavily upon the Ark and their staff as the weeks turned into months. Even though everyone attempted to carry on as 'business as usual' they could still feel the void of the Were King's presence. It had been months and one would think that now would be the ideal time to attempt to purge the presence of their loved one from the Ark. They could have redecorated Tetradore's bedroom, donate his clothing, or redo all the paperwork in the business to a different name â€" and yet they couldn't do such a thing. Not only could they mentally not handle such a thing, but Jackal was persistent on keeping everything the same. It would have been easier for them to begin the process of 'moving on' if they did any of these things and yet they couldn't, so they remained trapped within their grief. In the back of their minds they were afraid that Frost could come back. He could terrorize them and harm them, knowing that Tetradore wouldn't come to save them. The Were-Horse could also come back and challenge her mate for control of their pack and by doing so, take over. So, it was best to keep close just in case he did that, or some other unknown challenger came to claim a prize they did not deserve.

Raven did not want to leave the warmth and safety the Ark provided. She did not want to leave her mate's side. What if Frost came while she was gone? What if Tobias accidentally harmed a member of their staff? After all the boy's temper was growing more violent lately and it was only a matter of time until he did an act he could not take back. Serafina was quite adamant about getting her out of the Ark to go outside. So, she tried explaining that the weather was too cold and uncomfortable, thinking that may coax the girl to stay inside. When that didn't work Raven tried offering her a free meal or a chance to relax and unwind, to enjoy a quiet day, surely they could bond by watching a few movies. No matter how hard she tried to dissuade Serafina, none of it worked. With a promise from Jackal saying he would keep an eye on her mate, and promising her mate she would return later she left the Ark with her witch. Of course Raven had missed spending time with Serafina. The bond between witch and familiar was there, but like all things, it needed to be worked on to make the bond stronger and better. So, she quietly followed the witch, all mopey and disheartened.

Why they had to come to the South she did not know, but she would have rather liked it if they weren't too far away. Whatever if there was danger in the West? How could she get there in time to help? Hearing the witch lecture her caused the girl to mutter under her breath in disagreement. Serafina just...didn't understand. It was the offer of chasing Tetradore's ghost that placed a scowl on her face. The last time she was with Serafina when they were surrounded by ghosts it wasn't a pretty sight. Ghosts of the pack she murdered sprung up in her house and it triggered the lupine to turn feral. The chances of Serafina surviving such an ordeal was low, especially when there was no one around to try and take control over her in her feral state. When Serafina brought her back to the Ark it was Tetradore that found her with a squeaky toy, the girl acting like an innocent puppy, and he was the one that helped bring her back. If Raven went feral now she would have to put her trust in her mate to help her get out of such a state, but knowing his terrible mood swings and violent nature...that may not be possible. When Tetradore took her out of that feral state, he and the other members on staff seemed to think it would be funny to poke some fun at her. After all, she came home like some kind of puppy. Oh how she hated that. As some people say, 'we tease, because we love you.' Well, she wasn't feeling 'loved.' Shaking her head in disagreement she spoke up.

"Last time we were around ghosts I went feral, and came home with some squeaky toy. For a whole week I was teased."

Raven didn't know that Serafina was trying to cheer her up. It didn't feel like it. Rather she thought they were going out into the woods to do, well, whatever the witch wanted to do. She remembered one time she came into the woods to help her find ingredients she could use for her potions. So, she quietly followed along, every now and then checking to ensure the bond between herself and Tobias was still there, afraid that it too would disappear should be fall to Frost. Why Serafina appeared so cheerful about a pond the lupine did not know, so she just stood there dumbfounded. What in the world were they going to do with a pond? She wasn't going to fish. It was cold, it was freezing, and she was pretty sure they could have bought fish in the West District. What she needed to be ready for she did not know, so she helpless shrugged. Quietly she watched the witch bend down and reach out her hand to the pond, noticing how snowflakes began to form underneath her palm. She could actually hear the ice begin to form as it rushed over the pond. Hearing the witch laughed seemed, well, different. The she-wolf could hardly remember a time when she actually heard the woman laugh before. Tentatively she placed her foot onto the ice, gently taking a step forward, trying to keep her balance while calling out to the woman.

"Are you sure it is safe? If I fall and break my neck and die....you're going to have to tell Tobi."
