West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

That resounding thud echoed even as Alexander's feet touched the metal of the fire escape. The noise itself hardly caused the Dark Hunter to flinch in the least, already expecting such a sound. Rather, he was vastly more interested in the young woman below him, her gaze too shifted quickly in astonishment and in that moment of distraction, the man she had at the point of her sharpened arrow took the moment to take advantage of the situation. It was lucky for him, perhaps, that he had decided to scuttle away from the girl, turning on his heels to run. After all, Alexander would hardly let another hand touch the woman in front of him, especially not within his presence. The Macedonian King hadn't the faintest idea of what their relationship now consisted of, her return still had left the topic altogether hazy, even if he still remembered the taste of her lips against his. It had been so long since the conqueror had held any interest in any soul - much less those more romantic inclinations. He had seen far too many die of various maladies over the centuries to eagerly commit his heart to any soul and yet, regardless, she seemed to be a continual point of weakness within him, stirring those long sleeping desires of lust, protectiveness, and simple, unjaded contentment.

Regardless, he watched as that bow and arrow disappeared into a puff of smoke, the action alone hardly perturbing him. After all, his own weapons were entirely bound to his soul and callable at a moment's notice. Instead, the hunter was vastly more amused by the notion that while he had paused his own hunt to save her, she seemed capable enough on her own. My how she had changed, those deaths she so despised at her own hand had certainly made her stronger and, frankly, all the more attractive in it's own way. It was a delicate dance between innocence and strength and the way she toed that line kept him returning to her side, ever inquisitive. That soft chuckle left his lips as he leaned over the railing, commenting idly on what his intention had been here tonight. He was aware, vaguely, of the surprise that crossed her features at his sudden presence though he hardly faulted her in that. After all, Alexander rarely ventured to the other parts of the city when the council wasn't endlessly harassing him as they had been of late.

His blue-green gaze remained intent upon her, noticing the fashion in which she held herself slightly taller at the sheer mention of what she had but moment's ago done. She was proud of herself and really, she should be. It was a point he would be entirely certain to make. However, he hardly expected that such a boost in her self-esteem might cause such a unusually confident remark to leave her lips. A warm smile crossed his features, "Perhaps I'll take you up on that." He commented softly. After all, what man didn't enjoy occasionally being cast in such a role? King or not, Alexander was still very much the white knight at heart, ever vigilant that each conquest was treated with the utmost respect and care. Why should the things he treasured not too be held in such high regard? It was only the tilt of her head towards the next alley over that saw his attention refocus upon his task at hand, his hand momentarily raising to run through those dirty blonde locks. Right, he was supposed to be killing that beast, wasn't he? At least he'd maimed it enough to take his time. Still, his lips pressed together ever so slightly as she inquired as to if she wanted to know what the origin of that noise was and slowly, his head shook, "I doubt it." He responded plainly enough, pushing himself away from the edge of the railing.

Alexander stepped lightly down the last staircase to join her on the floor of the alleyway, the man instantly aware of the step she took towards him. Her inquiry on whether or not he was indeed hunting at the given moment caused his eyebrows to raise ever so slightly. His species, after all, was dedicated to the eradication of her own and though Alexander hardly took his 'job' as passionately as he once did, he still never expected the woman to be comfortable with what he was. Regardless, his head bobbed ever so slightly, "Technically, I still am working, I simply...misplaced my prey." He commented idly, that smile tugging once again at his features as Alexis asked if she was distracting him. "Always." He muttered softly, stepping forward to press his lips was a cautiousness against the corners of her own. It was a chaste kiss, after all, even she had yet to admit what they would be going forward, if anything. He didn't want to presume. Still, Alexander stepped away from her a moment later, a single hunting dagger appearing within his hands as he flipped it with an ease surely indicative of his skills. "I suppose I should put him out of his misery though." He was surprised, really, that the were hadn't started screaming by now and yet, maybe the creature was determined to remain in that form he was in, as if that alone might somehow cause him to survive Alexander the Great.
