East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy

"I'm not at all surprised," The young fae girl commented in regards to his question regarding whether or not she expected more of the male patrons at her workplace. "That doesn't, however, mean that I have to enjoy the attention. It's just what I have to do to survive." She merely shrugged as she walked along beside him. If it weren't for the need to feed herself, Samantha doubted she would have worked in such a place. Still, she was content to let the subject drop, falling in step to him as he spoke of his intentions for their evening. "That sounds fine," She said softly. She didn't mention the way she'd been testing out his theory for days at the burlesque, trying to see if she could tell the difference in the emotions of other supernatural. So far, not so much. Her stomach twisted at the idea that she wouldn't be able to tell the difference and they'd waste his time.

Samantha looked up sharply at the sound of the car unlocking. She tilted her head to the side in surprise as she examined the car that flashed for them. The young fae wasn't quite sure what she had been expecting in regards to how they'd get downtown - a place she'd never actually explored in the city - though she supposed she'd expected to walk. She walked everywhere, given that it was her only option besides flying, and she didn't want to draw attention to herself by doing that. Samantha certainly wasn't fortunate enough to own a car - nor could she see herself getting a driver's license due to her young appearance and the fact that she was legally deceased. She supposed, really, she hadn't expected that the Were beside her would have a car at all, let alone one that was so nice.

It was those thoughts that made her miss his answer to the question she'd asked and his directive to get inside the car. Instead, she stood there for longer than necessary staring at the open door, clearly dumbfounded. It wasn't until she felt him shift beside her that she snapped back to attention, blinking. "What?" She asked, then shook her head as she took in the open door. "Right." Her cheeks flamed as she slid into the car, quick to buckle her seatbelt. As he shut the door for her and made his way to her side of the car, she quickly snuck a peek at herself in the sideview mirror, smoothing out her messy hair. There was nothing she could do about her ratty clothes, but at least her hair would look nice and perhaps anyone they came across in their people watching wouldn't think that she was completely out of place in hanging out with the handsome boy. It wasn't until he'd gotten in the car and she'd felt the car rumble to life that she managed to find her voice again. She was thankful, really, that she was the empath and he couldn't feel the anxiety that she was experiencing. "Your car is really nice," She managed to say. Her voice came out entirely too fast, her words blending together. Her cheeks flamed and quickly, she looked away and out the window. "Which way is downtown?"
