Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

There was nothing quite as comforting to the young woman as being pulled up against Kato. After everything that she told him, she couldn't help but be entirely on edge when it came to the man. She knew he loved her, knew that he wanted her. And yet... And yet Weres were territorial by nature. Edie had no way of knowing how he would have reacted to being told she had been promised to someone else. Would he cling to the idea of her, or would he march her straight back into Beck's arms? She was relieved when he seemed only amplified by the idea that she belonged to him. She was his girlfriend, his love. His, his, his. And that was only shown to the girl by the way that he pulled her into his side. The tension seemed to let out of her body, the girl even smiling as she wormed her way closer to his side, her head resting against his chest as she let herself settle into him.

The last thing that Edie thought she would be capable of in that moment was to relax enough to let sleep take her. But with Kato's steady heartbeat thumping in her ear and the way he held her so close, it was easy to let her thoughts drift and the dreams take her. At several points, she stirred just slightly as she struggled to fight off the nightmares that threatened to take her. She would not - could not - let them take her now. She had to be strong. Getting back to her home would be nothing short of taxing on the girl, and she was sure that she would be strong enough to handle this. She had Kato. She had Frost. She would be strong for them, and she would refuse to fall apart even as the situation seemed to pull at the loose threads of her composure. But for now, in order to be strong, she would have to rest.

The next thing the petite girl was aware of was the way Kato so abruptly dropped his arms from her, the girl nearly falling off the seat as she struggled to catch her balance and sit back up. She blinked for several moments before she understood what it was that had caused him to jolt so suddenly. "Kato," She whispered, reaching out to push his hands away as she got the bag for him, placing it within his hands. She sat up fully, her attention fully focused on the man and the sickness that she could feel within him. She reached over to rub circles on his back, her lips coming to rest on his shoulder as she tried to force that feeling of nausea that had settled on herself back down. It would not do her any good to get sick. What she didn't understand, of course, was the way that the power she didn't know she had would soothe his own vertigo.

"It's okay," Edie murmured against his shoulder, pleased when her own sickness seemed to ebb entirely. She should have known better about the motion sickness. It had plagued both of them on the boat to Africa, though Edie's own was hardly triggered by the gentle rocking of the plane. She reached up to stroke his hair as she sat back up fully, looking out the window. "We'll be landing in just a minute, and then we'll be off this bloody thing." She smiled gently at her boyfriend, squeezing his hand as the plane made its decent into the one place that she had sworn she would never see again.
