Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It had hardly occurred to the Fae King in any sense that Samantha so feared he might leave her to live with Sebastian entirely- a notion the pair had hardly discussed in any sense and a more modern ideal Dorian had perhaps never been given the idea to consider. After all, even this understanding of boyfriends was a decidedly new moniker afforded to him, any further steps beyond that having failed to be brought to his awareness- at least not yet. Those worries within Samantha entirely outside his own understanding as she twirled before him in those moments before Sebastian's arrival- her newly attired form entirely pleasing to him, the girl rewarded with a glorious grin that so displayed his pleasure in her attire and neatness. A far improvement upon those yoga pants! Her effort in this entirely clear and indeed, when it came to such matters, effort was so often required, It was so often that effort after all, that spoke volumes on its own. He leaned forward then, allowing his lips to brush against her cheek in a chaste show of his appreciation, that blush that adorned her features but a moment later hardly missed. Yet to comment upon it would be distinctly ungentlemanly like. A soft sound of amusement rises within his throat as her arms wrap about him, the man still having that habit of holding himself far to tensely whenever it was another was given to hug him outside of Sebastian himself in those intimate moments. Touch, after all, even between the best of friends as he and Samantha surely were was....unusual to him still and yet with each passing day he became all the more tolerant of it, relaxing several moments later as her fingers smoothed his shirt.

"You know you are just as important to me. You are my best friend, I have not forgotten this title you gave me."

It was a title the Fae King had taken to with all manner of seriousness, after all, Samantha was the first being to ever declare him as such- at least within the past five hundred years or so and the death of his boyhood companion. Dorian determined to so perform this duty as he did with any other title- though as to just what his duties were in this perhaps remained to be seen. This notion of titles continues only further as Samantha inquires as to the very nature of this evening and whether or not this would be a formal affair, Dorian assured it would not be, removing any need for anything other than first names. He offers Sebastian's own ranks if only because Samantha had asked and yet he was assured the vampire could offer further information himself if he chose. The Fae Queen only further attempting to reassure him that Narnia was surely a place despite the doubts he was beginning to obtain. The silver of his gaze following her across the room as she removed that chicken from the oven.

"My world is far easier to understand I am sure- there are rules for everything and in that fashion no one is ever confused. Your world seems to have different rules for every occasion- else no rules at all. As for you're cooking I hold at least some faith, it is by my very nature that I simply do not eat, not any slight against your cooking I am sure it is very pleasant."

That neither Sebastian nor himself were particularly prone to eating (at least not in the traditional sense in Sebastian's case) had failed to dampen Samantha's determination to cook. The Monarch determined to at least honour her efforts by trying it- that knock at the door so hurriedly refocusing his attention as he moved to answer it. He is unaware once more of Samantha's ability to so attune herself to those emotions that exist between Sebastian and himself. That shock that so registered within the woman at her realisation that this was, surely, no simple and passing fling between the two men also utterly unnoticed by the King once more. His attention in that moment entirely upon his lover, that soft simper tugging at his features at even the mere sight of the man he so adored and that affectionate greeting. His own returned but a moment later.

"Good evening- come in."

He steps easily to the side, so admitting the vampire within- Dorian having failed to mention to Samantha that Sebastian had already been here twice before on those nights she was away at that place called work. Such details he was sure, were hardly needed as he moved to offer those initial introductions. It is his position behind Sebastian in that moment that surely prevents him seeing that momentary falter in the man's smile as the vampire extends his hand. Samantha however is entirely within view of the Monarch- the girl looking positively terrified to the point Dorian finds himself halted in search of just what it was that so seemed to unsettle Samantha so decidedly. He had spoken of Sebastian before, Samantha knew entirely what the man was, she had seen those marks upon his own neck time and again and indeed it had been she whom had so suggested and insisted upon this very evening. This...fear that so seemed to take hold of her entirely baffling to the man. Was she afraid of vampires? Why on earth had she so requested Sebastian's presence if she feared them so? The true reasons behind her fear hardly known to the man and yet he dislikes this distress upon her, concern momentarily touching his features as her eyes meet his own curious gaze. The man relaxing once more as Samantha so takes the vampires hand in her own but a moment later, though her tone too sounded off. Surely she was simply nervous. Dorian merely content to continue in that manner so many centuries in court allowed him to do so effortlessly.

"Perhaps we might all sit down?"

He gestures easily towards that neatly laid table. Dorian quite pleased he had managed to, at last, instruct Samantha in the correct manner to actually lay a table before he moved to offer Sebastian a seat. It is with a softly murmured apology to his lover that he moves then back towards the kitchen Samantha had so retreated to in an effort to ready dinner- one hand extended to touch her arm and draw the woman's attention to himself, his own voice soft now.

"Samantha- I am not assured as to what is going on but you look positively pale. You have nothing to fear, I promise you that. You are doing just fine."

He allows that simper to touch his lips once more, seeking to assuage the woman's fears before returning to the dining table but a moment later, taking his own seat beside Sebastian, leaving the furthest chair for Samantha herself. It was decidedly easy, within Sebastian's company, to so find himself relaxing once more as his gaze meet the blue of the mans own. Ah, but it would seem the man had eaten before his arrival then, a good choice in this Dorian is assured. His own words offered to his lover alone now, those lyrics softly uttered in the language they alone shared, hardly wishing to so worry Samantha any further with his awareness of her unusual temperament this evening.

"Vous aurez de l'excuser, je crains qu'elle est tout simplement un peu nerveux. Elle est vraiment très gracieuse sur la plupart des occasions." (You shall have to excuse her, I fear she is simply a little nervous about the dinner she made. She really is very gracious on most occasions.)

There is little but affection for the woman within his words, Dorian switching so effortlessly back to English once more in an effort to ensure his companions found some comfort with one another.

"Samantha found me the day I first arrived within this city. I was run over by a bicycle in the park, she allowed me to stay at her home after that. Her first home though- it was all one room."

This a notion he still finds confusing to this day, the very floor he had been forced to sleep on for several weeks the very reason he had been so delighted that night, so many months ago, to find himself within Sebastian's silk sheets within that hotel....
