Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Samantha Cassidy

Of all the people that Samantha could have seen on the other side of her apartment door, Troy was perhaps the last person she would have guessed. And yet, despite that, Samantha wouldn't say that she was necessarily upset at his presence. No, if it were any other time she would have been thrilled to see Troy. But as it was, she couldn't remember what it was like to be thrilled about anything. No, she was simply lost in the darkness that had been her life since that fateful night. Still, she tried her best to give him a warm welcome. It was the least she could do. The girl pulled that thick blanket even further on her shoulders, wrapping the material around herself as though it was all that she had left to keep herself together. And perhaps it was. Without Aiden in her life, Samantha was simply not sure how to move forward. Not, of course, that she deserved to. After all, it was all her fault that Aiden was gone.

Samantha's eyes lifted to look at Troy as he ran his fingers through his hair. Her voice sounded foreign to her as she spoke. It sounded small and weak and oh so exhausted. When was the last time she slept? It was almost as though the mere act of keeping herself upright was too much. She moved back, letting him move inside as she moved to shut the door behind them. She moved easily towards the couch, flicking on the lamp to let a little bit of light into the room. The Fae Queen winced at the brightness, though she still sat down on the couch and pulled more blankets over top of her. She was almost unaware of the way he watched her. She should offer up some kind of explanation. She should get up and make tea or do something to be a pleasant host. But she was too tired... She was so tired.

"It's nice to see you," Samantha said softly as she looked up, pulling a throw pillow into her lap as she turned her full attention on Troy. "You wanted to talk to me? Sure." She gave him a tiny ghost of a smile as she looked down to play with the fringe on her pillow. "No, it's not a bad time." It wasn't. There weren't bad times anymore, at least not specifically. Everything would be bad. Everything would be bad because this was all her fault. She swallowed hard, fighting off another round of tears as she turned her head away. No, she wouldn't cry in front of Troy. She took several moments to collect herself before she looked back over at him. "What can I do for you, Troy?"
