Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Residences

Her name on his lips causes a new wave of shame to roll through her and she can't help but look away from him. Vhalla had never had anyone she deeply cared for see her in that sort of position, gone is her arrogance and all that is left is a near empty shell. The assassin is vaguely aware of the warm coat being draped around her shoulders, as if she was on auto pilot, she slips her arms into the much too long sleeves and allows Will to button the coat up for her, as if she were a small child unable to do it herself.

As he tries to explain she cuts him off with the need of a shower and she's aware somewhere deep in her mind that she's hurting him. The witch truly didn't mean too, she simply was empty and beyond exhausted, she had never had so many emotions coursing through her in such a small amount of time. Watching, as if from a distance, Will hail a cab and help her into the back seat, she notes the way the cab driver glances at her bare feet and the disarray of her hair. Vhalla couldn't feel more ashamed than she already did, so she simply ignores the look and the furtive glances in the mirror directed at her for the drive.

She sits in silence and is thankful for William to not bring anything up, thankful for the way he doesn't touch her and secretly thankful that he came and stayed through the entire confrontation with her master, yet that was something she would never admit to him. She still thought he was foolish for attempting to rescue her from her master but thankful nonetheless. She is vaguely aware of the way Will instructs the driver through the turns and eventually they end up in front of a mansion.

Stepping barefooted out of the cab, she hesitates in the shadow of the grand structure she's startled at William's voice as he helps her out of the car. A sudden flash of anger courses through her body and she settles her icy eyes on Will, "I'm not broken," she snaps at him but allowing him to direct her towards the double doors as they are opened for them. No, she wasn't truly angry at Will, not at all really. She simply used anger to hide her true emotions, it worked for her in the past, why wouldn't it work for her now?

Because Will was different.

That small voice announced in the back of her mind and she knew that he saw through her as if she were the most transparent window. It still didn't stop her for being snappy. Still, she follows obediently up the stairs and into a rather grand suite. Letting her eyes travel across the room, letting them trace any object except for Will, she sighs and begins to unbutton the coat that he gave her with deft fingers. Letting the coat pool around her bare feet on the floor, she steps away from it almost delicately, the robe falling open to reveal her near nakedness again.

Will has already seen her body in her apartment, it made no difference to her now. Finally letting her gaze settle on Will as he opens his arms for her and beckons her to him she gives a small shake to her head. "Please, don't touch me right now Will. I can't...," she trails off looking away. "It doesn't feel right to be in your arms while I have his filthy handprints all over me," she murmurs in explanation. Taking a deep breath she glances back up at him hollowed face, "You also own me for the remainder of the day," she croaks out not intending to hurt Will, merely for him to understand that he had in fact bought her for the day and she was not to have any thoughts of her own for the next several hours.
