Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

and I breathe disaster ever after

Sterling could hardly help the yawn that crossed his lips as he approached the welcoming sight of his apartment building. Work had been absolutely stressful with the head chef sick and shouting things from the office, the Sous chef gone and everyone else attempting to be at the top of their game for the rumored new position opening up at his boss' side. It had been exhausting and not for the first time, Sterling found himself entirely excited to simply be home. Henry certainly wouldn't be home till much later, he knew. The man had mentioned this morning that there was some deadline coming up that something had to be done by. Frankly, the math that Henry so excelled in was utterly lost upon him. Sterling had long since mastered the art of simply nodding in understanding, letting appearance alone seem like he followed. This was likely why the man was far better at his personal finances then Sterling could ever hope to be. Still - that meant a few hours with the apartment to himself and, for once, he wasn't sure what to do with it. It was those thoughts that lingered upon his mind as he climbed the stairs, those contemplations ruined only by the sound of a rip, followed immediately by the thud of several objects before a large candle came bouncing down those stairs.

Sterling reached down to catch it in his hands, bouncing up those last few steps to the landing just above where a young woman was frantically attempting to collect her fallen articles. "I think you dropped this." Sterling stated, gesturing towards the candle before he slowly bent down to assist in the collecting of her things. He hardly bothered to ask her if she wanted help. Rather, Sterling had always enjoyed playing that white knight with even small, insignificant moments such as this. It was only once his collection of her possessions got to the cauldron that he paused, his head tilting to the side as he slowly picked it up. For a moment, those bright blue eyes simply observed it, making sure it was exactly what he thought it was before he slowly glanced up at her. "A witch or just an admirer of the dark arts?" He inquired, making every effort to keep his voice entirely light hearted. After all, having a new neighbor who was a witch could be either very good or very very bad. She didn't look so terrifying but Sterling definitely had enough particularly bad experiences with strangers to be wary all the same.
