Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Sebastian Ellingtonfor pleasure seldom has a cure

The ebony blades the King had so effortlessly wielded to come to his aid were a source of infinite fascination for the Englishman. His lover had altogether failed to mention his capabilities in such a clearly offensive regard, those knives quite unlike anything he had ever seen and certainly failed to fall into the spectrum of affinities he'd anticipated the Monarch to hold. What he knew of the man's gifts were far more subtle, far more fairer and kinder than anything so sharp and merciless. He was hardly oblivious to that silence that struck his companion at that idle inquiry, the vampire's eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly. After all, Dorian was always the very definition of keen, eager to show what he was capable of, to prove himself in some fashion or another. That he so hesitated in this was something of a mystery, one that Sebastian found himself uncertain if he should so venture after or let the moment pass altogether. The fae's comment that he disliked that power only served to confirm his own lingering suspicions - that power that had been bestowed upon him had clearly been unwanted, though he doubted truly that it was simply for the decidedly simple offensive capabilities. "No?" He inquired softly and yet, there was no further prompting from his lips - not tonight. He supposed he had pushed his lover to breach those boundaries enough for one evening to so trod upon this distinctly curious misgiving.

Still, his crystalline gaze refocused upon those swirling shadows as they so eagerly rushed to the Monarch's hand, turning on on themselves before that very shape of a sword emerged from sheer oblivion, solidified entirely into a nearly all black metal at Dorian's simple touch. It was decidedly marvelous, that material of the like he'd never seen and yet, gingerly, the vampire reached out to take that offered blade with a blatant glimpse of interest. His mouth parted ever so slightly in awe of that very fact that Dorian so voiced, the blade indeed as light as a mere feather in his grasp. His bright blue irises shifted to regard his companion as his lover continued to cover exactly what that ebony sword was capable of, tripping only upon that single thought. It was hardly difficult for the vampire to so make that connection - after all, surely there were not others capable of exactly the same sort of affinity. Regardless, his own fingers gingerly brushed across the flat of the blade, "This is...ace, Dorian." Sebastian continued, offering the King an all too pleased grin. It might have been near centuries since the vampire had ever held an actual sword and yet, he could still appreciate the tempered steel, much less one shaped from the very darkness itself.

Sebastian hardly anticipated the fashion at which his lover so easily reached out to run his finger along that edge, that blade only just barely touching flesh and yet still it had so succeeded to bring the King's delectable blood to the surface - that aroma still wholly sweet to the undead soul, even in spite of his rather fed state. His gaze shifted but briefly to that sword within his hand as it returned to an insubstantial form, disappearing altogether before the vampire was presented with that single finger. Slowly, he leaned down, delicately taking that finger within his mouth as his gaze remained steady upon the King. His tongue delicately running along side that finger in a fashion that was perhaps far more sensuous than necessary before, slowly, releasing the man in those moments after, a simper still settled on his lips. That inquiry that followed of his intentions to stay, while unexpected, was wholly enjoyed, the vampire entirely willing to so give into that desire now that Samantha was absent from that apartment. Unfortunately, the question that should have followed was lost to the King's insistence that there was something he had so wished to show him.

That heavy book that Dorian so fetched from that bookshelf was regarded with inquisitiveness as he shifted to join his lover upon his stomach. His gaze followed the King's fingers at that nearly meaningless list of names before that very date was so pointed out, the explanation that, perhaps, Fate had so intended from the very beginning for his inevitable death and Dorian's captivity to lead to this very moment in time. It was an endearing consideration, one in which even he was all too willing to indulge within. They were a very product of inevitability, the vampire somehow taking comfort in the fact that he was meant for the arms of the King alone. His attention turned slowly back towards those names, his fingers running tenderly across that page as he voiced how utterly usual that name 'John' so was within his family, his thoughts turning inward momentarily towards thoughts perhaps not nearly as joyous as their evening had so started. Regardless, the vampire found himself uttering, finally, of that gift he had brought the King.

Sebastian was aware of his lover shifting at his side, clearly intending to search for that very thing in the fashion he so often did, filled with a nearly boyish curiosity. The sudden intensity of that inquisitiveness produced a small simper upon the vampire's features as he turned his thoughts and his gaze away from the names his mother had once considered bestowing upon him. Rather, the man reached into his back pocket, plucking from it's depths that small black box only to present it to the man at his side. He leaned down, resting his head upon his hands whilst he watched the fae beneath those long lashes. He enjoyed the fashion that Dorian so seemed taken with even the slightest of presents, even if, he was sure, the meaning behind this one would wholly be lost upon the man.

That key within was hardly unique in any fashion, fastened to an antique leather keychain. He watched as the fae King so plucked that very key from the boy, that small simper widening ever so slightly at that questioning look he was provided. "It is the key to my home in Anacosta." He stated simply enough, pausing before adding, "Your welcome to come and go as you please, Ma Biche, or...if you should like...to live there." It was perhaps the first time in the entirety of his life he had ever asked someone to live with him, even if he had left that choice entirely up to Dorian alone. Sebastian was, however, quick to follow up the offer with a statement of practicality, as if it was somehow needed to so coax the King's decision. "They finished the gate yesterday and your security team would hardly be as much of a bother. It's closer to where your PA is staying and we can turn the guest bedroom into an office or art room if you'd like and....the bed's never empty." His efforts to so seduce the Italian fae into moving in with him were perhaps questionable at best and yet, the offer remained all the same, the vampire simply eying his companion in those moments after, waiting for that very answer that surely meant far more to him then even he cared to admit.
