Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

aiden tetradore

It was foolish, surely, how much Tetradore had tried to keep Nadya safe from the grasp of that Norwegian man. He had tried to keep them apart, he'd sheltered her in the Ark till she deemed his home inappropriate. He ensured he spent as many full moons with her as possible till she deemed it ridiculous to split the pack. He'd made every effort to bring about his sibling's happiness beyond that acceptance of her relationship - though truly, how could he ever accept Frost as loving her when the man had brought him such hardships? Those thoughts lingered deeply upon his mind as the man found himself re-analyzing every aspect of those months past and all the actions he'd taken not only in relation to his sister but too the man he so despised. At least, such was his intention until that inquiry of what was wrong so caught him off guard. He was entirely used to being alone - to having those worries and weights for his shoulders alone. After all, his life itself had been the very epitome of a lonely existence with naught a friend to turn to. This...care for his troubles was new to him and yet, after a moment's consideration, the man found his lips parting to spill a rather censored version of that tale.

That half hearted jest of kidnapping the poor girl, however, was met with a derisive snort. He doubted, truly, that she would take kindly to such an action. Much less that Frost would surely see it as a declaration of war. No, he was resigned to the simple fact that his sibling would no longer be apart of his life. In a way, it was almost a blessing his parents were not alive to see them so fractured. It would have surely broken their hearts to see their children at such odds. A soft breath left his lips though, in truth, he had already considered the future of how things would be, now that Nadya had so pledged her allegiance to Frost. That silver lining he was offered caused his bright emerald eyes to glance upwards towards her, his eyebrows furrowing as he considered those words before slowly shaking his head. "I doubt it would be unspoken but..I suppose it's possible they might come through with an actual peace treaty of sorts." There was a frown across his features in those uncertain moments before another sigh left his lips. "Would it be selfish of me to say no?" He inquired, far softer than that usually confident man normally spoke before adding in a thoughtful fashion, "Or perhaps it would be selfish of me to say yes." Raven, after all, was still terrified of Frost. He doubted she could ever accept such an alliance and Tobias would undoubtedly side with her. The Alpha leaned back with a groan on his lips at the sheer thought of it all. "Nadya would see my pack torn to pieces one way or another." He commented and truly, it seemed as if she would. The woman seemed to either expect him to leave them behind and join her and Frost and her children, or to present them with a peace treaty she expected him to sign at the risk too of having his pack rebel against him. And if he said no? Then she would blame him for 'abandoning' her.

There was no way he could win this. There was no more placating those different facets of his family. He was finally being forced to choose and Nadya's venom filled words were already laying down that foundation for that guilt he would surely wear for the rest of his damn life. Though really, what more was this in comparison to all he already regretted? He was oblivious, in those moments, to how cautiously Mira edges just a bit closer, nibbling on her cookie as she regarded him with a hint of weariness. In fact, his attention only turned towards her at that first sound of delight within her throat at that chocolatey sweet taste. A soft chuckle crossed his lips as he tried to focus on the present instead of that internal war within him. That admittance that she hadn't had a cookie in near ages was met with a tilt of his head and yet, that notion of so enjoying the little things was one he could relate to well. "I know what you mean." He commented, pausing before adding with a soft laugh, "I used to run away just to steal a cookie from the nearest bakery I could find." It almost seemed like an innocent petty crime though really, it hardly explained just how utterly important those small moments of freedom had once been to the captured were. He was, perhaps, in a unique position to understand exactly what it was like to indulge in those little luxuries so many simply accepted as normal.

In spite of all that Tetradore so faced, however, the man had hardly forgotten exactly what had brought the young woman here. Softly, he inquired as to her own well being, nodding ever so slightly to that ankle that had so left her within his care. His eyebrows rose ever so slightly at that glimpse of surprise that fluttered across her features. Did she think that he would forget? Or that he did not care? Still, with what little knowledge he held of her past, perhaps she did think just that. He watched as she moved closer towards him, pulling up her pant leg in the process to show him that smooth skin of her hankle. "It doesn't look too bad." He commented, reaching out to run his thumb along that line. In fact, it looked far better than it had the night he'd found her with her foot trapped in that silver death grip. Tetradore withdrew his hand, glancing up at the young woman as she continued to speak of that poison that had ravaged her system and the hallucinations that had accompanied it. Still, it was the comment that this place was nice that brought a snort to his nose. "This place is shit." He commented, his emerald eyes turned towards the entrance at that fort to glance at the near bare room outside. It hardly even had it's own bedroom, it was dingy, but, he supposed at least it was clean.

His gaze shifted back towards her as she tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, commenting on his honor to name that fort that they so occupied. A small frown crossed his lips, his eyebrows furrowing as he considered it for a moment before offering in an questioning fashion. "Fort Santuario?" He inquired, that Spanish word for 'sanctuary' so falling from his lips. It seemed fitting enough. After all, was that not what this very childish stacking of pillows and blankets were? A sanctuary for the both of them from the world outside that door, one that so threatened to overtake them both. He listened to that laughter upon her lips as she spoke of her childhood and those days she'd so dedicated to this very task and yet, the man hardly complained as she reached for another cookie. Rather, he shook his head ever so slightly, "No, I never tried before. My best friend and I used to play in the forest when we were kids at least until...until the fire anyways." Explaining away that sudden lack of a childhood by a fire seemed far better than the true extent of what he'd endured, though, he supposed given her history she might have understood in some regard.

He popped that last bite of his own cookie in his mouth, chewing thoughtfully for a moment as he watched the woman dip that cookie within her own cup of milk. His own features remained thoughtful for several moments as he chewed. "Hey, Mira?" He inquired suddenly, his gaze falling upon her tentatively. "Look, um, my girlfriend...well...I guess she's not my girlfriend anymore..." Tetradore corrected himself before continuing on, "...anyways, she skipped town and her roommate moved in with his boyfriend or something so that apartment I bought for her is empty. You're welcome to it if you want to stick around. I mean, it's better than this place. Comes fully furnished and everything...I'm sure we could figure something out in terms of rent or whatever." She didn't seem like an awful girl, really, and he suspected she wouldn't be an awful tennant either. She'd certainly solve his problem of what to do with Samantha's place - the question was, had she decided she'd had enough of this place or would the woman be staying around a bit longer?
