Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

There was an anxiousness,of sorts, that so came with making the suggestion of that doctor to Raven. Dorian holding some concern, perhaps, for so accidentally distressing the woman with an implication her mate was childish. It could hardly be denied, surely, that the young man had curious behaviours and yet to think of them as being merely childish was decidedly narrow-minded in his own opinion. After all, Dorian himself had witnessed some level of lucidity on the man. He was, beneath that veneer of curiousness, a decidedly intelligent being and to think of him as any less would be little more than an insult. Yet too, that Tobias required some sort of professional help was surely equally clear. Dorian content to suggest that, if Raven desired it, he might surely be able to help her find someone willing to see the man. Perhaps even Elizabeth might know of someone whom she studied or worked with through her college. The Fae King's mind already considering those possibilities as Raven admitted that she surely needed all the help she could get. That almost rueful smile finding his lips then as his head simply nodded.

"I will see what I can find and have the information sent to you. Whether you decide to see it through or not will be your own choice. I shall make sure they know about Leopards too."

The idea of the boy shifting had hardly occurred to him and yet Raven made an excellent point in that regard. Dorian quite assured that Raven was the very sort of person whom was decidedly good at thinking from multiple angles. Perhaps she had to be, when her mate was so unpredictable and yet the Monarch found himself quite impressed with such skills on her part. She would have made an excellent PA. Such thoughts in the least were dismissed in favour of that talk ff her own upcoming marriage. Such a joyous thing! Dorian himself quite excited for her. The King eagerly offering that advice on those wedding invitations. Such matters, after all, so had a habit of delighting the man thoroughly. He enjoyed those aspects of planning and choosing and truly he found himself looking terribly forward to seeing how a Were-wedding was conducted. Would it be a religious ceremony? Was either Raven or her mate Catholic? Did the Were species have any custom just for them? How many questions he found he had! Questions that only seemed to further compound in the wake off her offer to have him walk her down the aisle. Such a position of honour! And one that near instantly saw the Monarch considered just what his role might entail even if he was more than glad to accept such a thing. His very thoughts continuing to near spin with several considerations as Raven stroked at Maxwell's ears. The dear little dog beginning to fall asleep.

He had hardly anticipated those softly uttered words from the woman on just why it was so she had never believed she would marry and indeed why she believed she might never have met anyone at all. He knew of her past, at least, he had known enough of it to deduce the injustice of it and yet to be told more details of it was nothing short of distressing. How any being could ever bring harm, in any sense, to a woman so inherently good he hardly knew. Especially not to a child whom had done nothing wrong and deserved no such treatment. Even with her feral tendencies surely such things could be managed rather then imprisoned. Those words that left his lips were reassurances that were surely not needed and yet it was simply within the nature of the man to offer them. As if he might somehow reassure her off her own worth in this world and make her aware of all he saw within her. Dorian positively convinced it was a crime that such a woman as she might ever have a low opinion of herself when she was so decidedly intelligent and compassionate and well loved by those around her. The manner in which Raven moved to take his hand in that quiet moment of understanding bringing that smile to his lips before the pair found themselves interrupted.

His silver gaze shifted toward the well-dressed frenchman as he sipped at his tea, no doubt made for him by an utterly blushing Elizabeth. The normally sensible housekeeper so having a habit of becoming horribly distracted whenever Matteo came to call. Dorian inclined to roll his eyes at the pair of them. The Monarch shifted but slightly to lean back within his chair, his attention returned briefly to those work matters and the paperwork Matteo had seen to on his behalf before offering those introductions. Even if the very thought of his Father inthe same room as Raven inclined him to some measure of tension. The womans clear confusion on how he was the King of Italy and Matteo the Ambassador to France readily prompting a soft chuckle from the younger Fae. Dorian duly explaining how such a thing had come to be. Matteo soft interjection seeing his own head simply shake. In all the centuries he had known the man, the elder fae had forever possessed a habit of speaking his own mind. How on earth he so retained that position of political significance when his opinions were often made clear Dorian hardly knew! Still, he supposed, Matteo's gift for words was decidedly well known in equal measure. For all he complained of the elder fae he was rather fond of him all the same. Even if their own relationship was still in need of work. Neither man truly at ease with the other just yet. The manner in which Raven's head so shook in response to Matteo assurance that affair was excellent perhaps giving way to the young woman's feelings upon that very thing and too- the sanctity of marriage Matteo and his own mother in turn had surely broken. Yet how little of that tale Raven knew! Perhaps, later, he might surely tell her off it. The truth of it- of just how his Mother and Father had come to be. Raven, he was sure, would have liked Isabella immensely.

The young woman's assurance she would keep such details to herself readily saw his own head nod in appreciation. Raven, he knew, would be true to her word. Dorian himself so intending to have that matter of his parentage seen to this very year, once the lawyers assured him it would not affect his right to rule. Their suggestion, so far, seeming to be that as the legitimate son of Isabella it was through her he maintained his crown all the same and as such there would be little political distress by announcing his proper manner of birth. A matter to be discussed with Matteo in turn. After all, the elder Fae might not....desire such knowledge be made public. Such an idea settling uncomfortably within the Monarch and yet he could hardly say why. The idea that Matteo might not want to be announced as his Father forming a near knot within his chest he hurriedly pushed away in favour of speaking about Ravens own wedding. The Frenchman appearing pleased in turn, assuring her she would have a splendid day for it and that she did, indeed, deserve a splendid day.

It was a truly odd manner in which to word something and yet Dorian had become used to the elder mans 'odd' manners in some respect. Such words seeming to imply he knew the woman before him, or, in the very least, he knew what she had suffered. Had he seen her within his visions? If that were so then why had he failed to help her? Dorian frowning at such a thought. He knew, to some extent, just why Matteo had not interfered even if it had been within his power. Dorian so hardly claimed to understand the extent of that affinity the man possessed and yet he understood the...rules of sort attached to it. To meddle with the future so often presented dire consequences. Consequences worse than the present. Matteo rarely ever allowing himself to indulge in such things- even when it distressed him- and surely it must even if he never allowed it to show. Ravens query on just how he knew her readily seemed to prompt that answer Dorian had near anticipated. His connection to her allowing her own future to be seen- at least in part. His eyes lifting ever so slightly in surprise at such revelations. Raven herself only appearing further consfused as the Frenchman rested upon the arm of that sofa across from her. The woman querying how he had never been seen as Matteo rested that tea cup upon his leg, his silvered gaze still upon her. "I possess an affinity for teleportation, mon cher. A different kind of teleportation, one that allows me to move great distances though it is not without price. I cannot carry other living beings with me. They tend not to survive the journey"

It was, perhaps, Dorian's own turn to appear surprised. In all the years he had known the man he had never truly asked why Matteo could never teleport anything more then small, inanimate objects. His own features frowning now in that ready consideration at sch new information. Dorian a decidedly curious being.

"Do you mean to say, were you to teleport with a man, he would die?"
"Yes, this is what I mean to say. I am very often left with only bits of them, as such, I choose not to teleport while holding other beings unless I find them highly disagreeable"
"My god, that is...awful. All these years I simply thought you were incapable!"
"You never asked."

Dorian could so hardly prevent that near dubious look he provided the elder Fae then and yet there was no true harshness within it all the same. The man merely taken aback at such knowledge. Matteo, in turn, so hardly appeared flustered. The Frenchman appearing far more interested in Raven then Dorian himself in that moment. His gaze lingering intently upon her before that smile seemed to return to his lips once more. "Do you know what is curious about you, Raven? So many of your futures led to Tobias. Over and over again fate was determined to have you find him. I am over two thousand years old, I think, and I have only ever seen this once before. In nearly all your futures you find him. Again and again. I suspect he is your soulmate- that is something rare indeed" The Frenchman paused once more, his head tilting just so as if further considering something before those accented lyrics left him again. That same warm smile in place. "You two are very powerful together. One day, you will see just how powerful- and how important. It was a pleasure to meet you, again, Raven. Your curly hair has not changed a bit. It suits you too. Do you still read often?"
