Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Walk me home in the dead of night
I can't be alone with all that's on my mind

It was ridiculous to her that Sebastian's body guards might find it necessary to follow them inside of her home, but she wouldn't put it past them especially based on the description of their necessity that the high profile prince had given earlier. She wasn't sure if the royal would have waved off their entry on their own, but it wasn't something she was planning on leaving to chance. Her apartment was the ultimate sanctuary for the feline and she wasn't about to allow these strangers inside. It was relatively easy to act as if their waiting outside the door was the most natural of things, the southern charm employed to disarm them of those containers wielded like a familiar weapon before she disappeared behind that door. Pleased to hear the vampire back up her actions her gaze drew to him as that barrier clicked shut behind him, appraising his reaction to her much more furnished living space compared to the last time he had escorted her here.

He didn't seem surprised by the homely interior she had crafted over the last few months, though something in the air seemed to catch his attention and she enjoyed studying his features as the shifted through whatever it was though he gave her no clue as to what it might be. There was an air of familiarity and ease as he moved to settle at her worn table, though the contrast against his expensive clothes was almost comical she liked the sight of him there.

What she did not expect however was for his first request to be that she keep their relationship private, especially from the Ark's owner and resident Alpha. She would have thought by now that discretion about the pair's involvement was a foregone conclusion by now, but that it should remain such around Tetra seemed a rather important matter. It made her wonder, but it was not something she had issue consenting to with an easy roll of her slender shoulders. The smile that spread over his face in response was well worth that, that Sebastian appreciated his privacy was a point she was coming to be familiar with btu she also understood why. To be honest the last thing she wanted was her name or face to appear next to his in any of the multitudes of media, the idea that it might alert Alaric to her location something she might come to fear above all else.

For now though she was more than happy to focus on the fragrant sweets waiting for them, the very sight of which as she opened those parcels enough to cause her tongue go flick across her pink lips in eagerness. That Sebastian would explain more about what he had proposed an added bonus as she flitted with ease around her kitchen to plate the deserts. The tell-tale meow of the pudgy, gray tabby the only thing that caused her to pause for a moment as she mentioned his presence to the vampire who no doubt wouldn't miss his sleepy appearance from her bedroom. She caught the brief look of surprise on his face as he replied that he didn't mind the felines and laughed lightly. "I was surprised when he showed back up, he adopted me when I first came to town and when I moved back he appeared at the window a few weeks later." Perhaps the resourceful Grayson had hung around, perhaps he had convinced someone else to watch over him while she was gone, none of which she would put past him. He had been the one to decide to live with her the first time and Carolina found she enjoyed the company.

Finally, she approached the table with plates and cutlery in hand, placing both upon the wooden surface and settling in the chair beside Sebastian with familiarity, one foot curled beneath her body. A glance given towards her companion with a flourish of her fork as she reminded him of that promise to illuminate her in regard to the particular thread he had mentioned. The words barely leaving her lips before she began to cut a piece of that irresistible crepe for herself. Unable to suppress a warm sound of appreciation as she savored the first taste of the warm, buttery exterior covered in sweet caramel and bananas, her fork returning to dip into the extra whipped cream she had made sure to request as Sebastian conceded and reached his hand into the air between them.

Surprise colored her face for just a moment as that vibrant, crimson string appeared out of nothing and pooled in the palm of his hand. She placed the fork back on the table as he held it towards her, leaning over to study the seemingly ordinary ribbon though as the vampire explained it was anything but. Her turquoise gaze shifted to his face as he finished the explanation about how it would allow him to find her no matter the distance. "Well, that is handy." A smile coloring her words as she extended her wrist to him at his request, watching the material encompassing her wrist with velveteen softness as he tied it effortlessly into a perfect bow. It was cool against her skin, though most things tended to be even more so when they were tied to the vampire, and she ran her fingers across its silky surface before it could vanish before her eyes.

The royal's next words drawing her attention back up to his face once more and she returned that easy smile he gave. "I would hope so, I'll be very put out if you don't." The words were teasing, genuine good humor though she was pleased at his regard none the less. "Does it work both ways? Could I find you if I needed?" She wondered how that might work, but if the connection were to exist between them surely she would feel some if it's effects as well.
