Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

You really think you're in control

and the stars in their orbits shone pale through the lightof the brighter, colder moon

Nadya expected, like any other verbal dance the pair entered in to, for her invitation to join in the water to simply be skirted around. She was used to the stubborn nature of the men in her pack that she expected little else from Frost. It wasn't long ago that she had given her brother the ultimatum of remaining in her place of business by being in his human form or leaving- only to have him choose to leave. So when Frost stood that was exactly what Nadya thought was going to happen...that she had finally proven to be too much for him. That was until he started to unbutton his shirt. Nadya quirked a brow in amusement as a small smirk tugged at the corners of her lips. She wasn't dead after-all and could appreciate the male figure just as much as the next woman. He wasn't at all bad to look at, though he was...pale. It caused a light giggle to escape from her, "Maybe you should lay out in the sun more...or go to a tanning salon." Yes, she knew very well how to poke at a man's ego so not to get a hot head from any roving looks she gave.

That was the only comment against him she gave as her chocolate gaze watched him settle into the water with a relaxed sigh. "That sounds like a form of torture. You'd never see me willingly swim through cold water." The mere thought of ice against her skin sent a shiver through the young woman. The pair were relatively good at the whole giving and taking in regards to their conversation. It seems that the conversation limits of their pack had taught them how to relish in the moments of an intelligent conversation when it came along. Nadya remained relaxed as she listened to Frost go on about his interest in her that was quite flattering if it were true. Despite the reconnection of finding her brother and Tobi there was always question in the back of her mind if he even wanted her in the pack; their Alpha mentalities clashing at times. Her brother was hard to figure out ever since she found him.

As per Frost's thought process his innuendo wasn't lost on Nadya. Her lips quirked again before she dragged her attention away to the ground that surrounded their little oasis. "Still getting the hang of this one..." Nadya's tone was light as she twisted a bit and lifted one arm from the water to reach over to a large rock. Two delicate fingers rested on the smooth round surface which was still at first then began to tremble at the force being exerted on it before flattening towards the ground, fissures spiking across it then shattering apart into dozens of pieces. Nadya quickly sunk her arm back beneath the water before the chill of the hair could prickle it any more. "Easier with touch but if I concentrate enough I can do without it too." She rolled her shoulder slightly in a mere shrug before her attention really settled on Frost's gaze. "...You'll have to relax now...and try not to fight it or it'll hurt more."

Nadya waited a moment for Frost to decide his move, her mind already scratching at the edges of his mental barrier in anticipation. It would be a lie if Nadya said she hadn't wanted to do this to him since meeting him. Out of her powers, the ability to create pain was perhaps her most favored; the flipside of the ability to remove or transfer pain unneeded as of yet. The moment Frost's shields would go down her ability lashed out like a white hot coil snapping at his mind to sear the pain deep within. It was not an imaginary pain or one that would go away the moment she stopped thinking about it. Once done it was done and rooted within until the subject passed out, she or someone else removed it, or it ran its course.

Luckily for Frost Nadya wasn't going to torture him for long. He had just complimented her after-all. Her final ability was one she wasn't so much as nervous as cautious about. It had been one that took the longest to get the hang of. Nadya soothed the pain that she had previously dealt Frost and replaced with her quickly changing his body chemistry. Her pheromone ability was dangerous if not dealt with properly and could conflict with other abilities which the kittens were proof of. It could have been described as a bit reckless as she also manipulated her own pheromones, not to make herself attract to him but enhance luring him to her. The concentration of the dual manipulation caused Nadya to nibble at her bottom lip slightly. As she eased off her final ability she finally spoke again. "I was born to Alphas, raised as an Alpha. I'm Beta only because of my brother. I don't bow down. Do you really think you can handle me?" Of course she meant handle her being a member of the pack, not becoming agitated at her outspoken nature. Surely she could respect him as an Alpha but following orders to anyone else in the pack would be sketchy. Nadya waited in anticipation, watching and gauging the violet-eyed man for his response.
