Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The stars in their orbits

and the stars in their orbits shone pale through the lightof the brighter, colder moon

Nadya had just gotten the dress onto Isabella and zipped it up when the knock on the door sounded. She glanced to Micah who she had gotten stripped down to his diaper. "I'll be right back." It wasn't completely out of the question for Nadya's mind to briefly wander to the thought of the knock at the door being her brother. It had been a few days of silence from him and Tobias and he hadn't been mr.family with the twins but perhaps their birthday made the occasion enough for him to show. Nadya opened the door and the sight of Frost wiped clean all thoughts of her brother finally coming around. "What are you-?" She blinked in surprise though found herself stepping aside automatically as Frost pressed inside. You would think Nadya would cease to be surprised anymore by Frost showing up.

Her footsteps followed his back into the living room where the twins sat. Nadya folded her arms across her chest, raising a brow at the completely too arrogant stallion. "You really could win an award for your stalker tendencies. How on earth did you find out about their birthday?" His compliment on her attire wasn't lost on her; she got compliments all the time at work but coming from Frost it seemed quite different. "I'm surprised to see you own anything more than that straight jacket you're always wearing." It was only natural for Nadya's clothes-mind to allow the thought of him actually looking dashing to flitter through. It was Frost's immediate interest in Micah that caused Nadya to startle forward. "Don't touch him." The wound itself had been hard for her to see, let alone having to allow it to heal without her interference as the doctor instructed her to do until it was time for the stitches to come out. The poison that had been introduced to the small child's wound had taken its toll on the tissue and while the doctor had had his own unique abilities to remove the poison, the wound needed the time to heal without rush.

Micah was momentarily entertained by Frost crouching down to his level, oblivious to why the adult was so curiously looking at him. He reached up one small hand in attempt to try and grab the dangling charm from the man's neck only to have Nadya gently guide his hand back down before scooting him back from Frost. Her lips were pursed now and her gaze set to stare at the top of Micah's head. "There were hunters in the forest this last full moon and he got hurt." It's your fault, you shouldn't be here...if Tobi hadn't smelled you. "I had to take him to the hospital because they had some poison on their knife that cut him. It was a mistake that won't happen again." I really thought Tobias could learn how to be a father. Multi-tasking was a women's forte and the multitude of rushing thoughts between Nadya's explanation was no different.

"I have to clean it before I can heal it so I can get him dressed." Nadya motioned with a jerk of her finger to the coffee table where Micah's outfit and first aid supplies were waiting. "Don't touch him." She reiterated before stepping away back into the kitchen only to reappear with another bottle. Micah took the bottle between his hands but didn't drink it, seeming to already know what was going to happen as Nadya took the supplies from the table and started to work on trying to snip the stitches. Micah immediately dropped the bottle and began to twist away, crying and fussing. Of course Nadya knew Micah wouldn't take the bottle, he had refused the bottle since that night, but she had help hope that he would be cooperative this once. If only because the only way Micah would let her mess with his injury site was something Nadya had never wanted to do in front of Frost.

Nadya stiffly tossed the small blunt-end scissors back onto the coffee table before plucking Micah up into her arms and sitting down quickly on the couch. She avoided looking at Frost at all cost as she slipped the strap of her dress off her left shoulder, maneuvering Micah with a year's worth of practiced ease at the same time until the fussy child was latched on and nursing calmly. The moment of tense silence from Nadya broke finally, though she didn't take her eyes off Micah. "I was going to take them down to the café with the cake that I got them. Alexis works there; you mentioned before that you know her, and she makes good coffee." Just how much Frost knew Alexis was something Nadya didn't know though. However, as Nadya spoke it was evident as her shoulders lowered that she was relaxing once more. "Could you hand me the scissors?"
