Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The giggle that escaped Edie's lips was positively infuriating, the young woman finding herself annoyed at the particularly girly sound. It was unlike her, certainly. The adrenaline of the evening was certainly affecting her judgment, and the particularly amazing sex she'd just had with the rhino wasn't helping. The blush that crept into her cheeks was maddening, even more so once that chuckle escaped from Kato's lips and the words that he spoke. Her eyebrows furrowed â€" if she was in her Were form, she was certain her ears would have been flat against her skull â€" and her eyes narrowed. "You were good, but don't flatter yourself. I've had better." It was a lie, they both knew it, but admitting the situation was not something Edie was comfortable with. For now, she'd just as soon press her lips against his and focus entirely on feeding the hungry man in front of her. The young girl sucked in a breath as she pulled away, the feeling of his hands in her hair causing that dizzying feeling and butterflies to erupt in her stomach once again.

What was wrong with her? It wasn't entirely uncommon for her to be momentarily infatuated with those that she brought to her bed â€" or in this case, kitchen â€" though he was proving himself to be decidedly different. She was glad, thankful even, for the distraction of finding him food. The helping of lasagna was larger this time â€" he was a rhino, after all â€" with the girl determined to fill his stomach before she drug him to the bed for round two. She placed it into his hands with a grin, pausing only briefly to pull her shirt back on â€" she didn't bother with her panties or anything that would be a hassle to remove later. She hardly cared about her nudity, really only putting it on as a small protection in case Claire or Calliel decided to come down for a snack. She moved towards the fridge, tilting her head as she took in his question. "Claire does," She replied automatically, hardly feeling the need to lie about that. "She likes to cook, we like to eat, so we let her. She's good, no?"

Frost's apple pie was likely something that the Alpha male would be angry about if it suddenly went missing. It was a thought that, instead of scaring the girl into leaving it, made her pluck it from the shelf. The girl hardly liked sweets â€" her desire for anything with cinnamon low after Frost's dare her first night in the pack â€" but the idea of Frost's annoyance would cause her to eat every bite of that pie. The image of her Alpha's momentary rage caused a giggle to escape her lips as she sat on the counter once again. She was still playing with the fork in the middle of the pie when he spoke, and she turned her attention to him with one of those adorable smiles that often lured men in towards her. "Do I now?" She teased, a bigger grin appearing on her features as the man gently pressed the sticky goop to her nose. Her nose wrinkled automatically, another girlish giggle escaping her lips despite herself.

She'd only just popped a bite into her own mouth â€" tensing slightly at the taste of the cinnamon â€" when he spoke once again, inquiring again after her pack. That unfortunate nickname again, too. This time, however, Edie didn't protest. It was... God, it was growing on her. The thought made her scowl â€" the scowl hopefully making him think it was in protest of her new nickname. "No," Edie sighed, reaching up to rake a hand through her long hair. "No, they're not like me." The girl put down her fork, crossing her arms across her chest as she looked up at him. "Look. I'm not embarrassed by my Were form in the slightest. I'm clever and I'm certainly more than I look like. However, my Alpha does not know that I'm a fennec fox. He suspects fox, I'm sure, but not one that's quite so tiny." Another rake through her hair as she let out a huff of air. "I'm merely being strategic. The more useful I am, the less it will matter when he finds out."

Edie immediately moved, pushing herself on the counter once more with grace. "Not that I care what Frost thinks." The sentence was meant with a roll of her eyes, the fox hardly wanting to admit she'd grown fond of the Alpha male. Admitting you were fond of someone was just getting close to caring about them. And caring about someone only lead to heartbreak, something the Beta girl had promised herself she'd never feel ever again. Not about Frost. Not about Kato. Not about anyone. "Four of us. Claire is a fox herself, though a regular one. She's... normal sized. Calliel is a horse. As is Frost. Frost is the Alpha here. I'm the Beta." She reached out, poking him playfully in the chest. "So what I say goes, got it?" Her words were teasing, that finger on his chest changing to her fingers grazing down his skin. She grinned at him for a moment before she turned her attention back to the pie that was now missing its center. "You know, I don't even like apple pie."

Edie pushed the pie plate away, leaving her fork dangling out of the center. That should annoy her Alpha plenty. For now, however, she was content to let thoughts of Frost fade away as she focused on the attractive male in front of her. "Finish that lasagna of yours and I'll show you that room I was telling you about. And the view."
