Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

He has certainly not lived so long without having some understanding of the certain wants and desires of woman. Even trapped within the confines of his own castle as he had been there he been no lack of women (or men) with which to entertain himself and yet centuries of playing this same game had afforded the man a very simple knowledge. Things were far more engaging when both parties were of an equal mind and the women whom appeared at his bedroom door desired his company for something other then their own advances. The touch of her power had, surely, done rather an exceptional job of bringing the man even this far, her whispered words so masterfully convincing him that her ideas were surely his own and yet that single break in contact, subtle though it was, seems to bring Dorian entirely back to his sense and the very notable realisation that whatever this woman was after it was not his affections. She herself is not terribly hard to mislead, Dorian content enough to play into her game for several more moments in the least, hardly even minding the girlish giggle she affords. She was a talented actress, if anything and truly had her power not managed to lose it's hold Dorian may well have failed to cotton on to her game at all.

A single, swift motion however, sees him pull away from the girl, demanding know to know exactly who she was, one hand hesitating in a reach for his sword. She was a woman after all. One did not draw a weapon upon a woman without true cause and so far she had offered him no actual threat. She had merely...mislead him. It is this hesitation however that the girl seems to take advantage of, her legs kicking out suddenly, taking his own out from beneath him. It is perhaps one of the single most potent downfalls to the very nature of his species. Fae were not...sturdy by any sense of the imagination. He, like all Fae, was slender, light, more graceful then he was muscular. He was, perhaps, unusually fit for his species and far more capable with a weapon then most and yet he has been caught too entirely off guard to use it. Her build not too terribly far from his own save for a little less height and this, surely, results in something of an even match.

She leaps very near before he has hit the ground, landing atop him, forcing his arms to the ground as she straddles him- her weight and position aiming to keep him down and away from being able to reach his sword. Modern women, he thinks, are decidedly unusual creatures. Impolite too. How dare she kick him! Much less attempt to detain him. For several moments at least Dorian merely remains content to glare at her from his position beneath her. Samantha....would have found this far too amusing for his liking.

"Forgive me for being- curt, but I am inclined to believe who you are is entirely my business considering you have positioned yourself on top of me with the clear intention of not releasing me. So either tell me who you are and what you want or I will remove you myself."

This, he thinks, is exactly why everyone should be permitted personal guards- to prevent this sort of utter nonsense from occurring.

"If this is about money I assure you that robbing me will be a decidedly wasteful use of your time."

That was entirely true. He had no money. At least, certainly not the kind the woman could actually use to buy anything, Dorian still utterly unable to understand modern currency at all.

"Either tell me what this is about or I am going to be forced to harm you. The choice is your own so please consider it carefully."

Well. At least he was polite. Old manners die hard.
